.Why no increase in social security

Retired Military Folks in Maryland are already up in arms about this B.S.

Seniors, we must act. If you are not a senior and don't want to have to help support your parents you better act also.

According to The Trustees for the Social Security Administration,

" THERE WILL NOT BE A COST OF LIVING INCREASE FOR THE NEXT TWO YEARS IN SOCIAL SECURITY BENEFITS.

They, the Congress (BOTH "REPUBLICAN AND DEMOCRATS TOGETHER") say no increase is warranted because of the losses in gross national product.

THIS IS THE ONE THAT WILL FLIP YOU OUT!!

THE SOCIAL SECURITY ADMINISTRATION IS FUNDING TWENTY FOUR MILLION DOLLARS-- LET ME REPEAT THAT AMOUNT...

SO YOU UNDERSTAND IT $ 24,000,000.00 DOLLARS FOR NEW ELECTRONIC MEDICAL RECORDS PROCESSING FOR OUR CONGRESSMEN AND SENATORS !!

THEY ARE OBTAINING THESE FUNDS
And

I QUOTE DIRECTLY FROM THE SOCIAL SECURITY WEBSITE...

"THIS MONEY WILL BE COMING FROM THE SAVINGS TO BE GENERATED

FROM WITHHOLDING "COST OF LIVING INCREASES FOR 2010 & 2011

In SOCIAL SECURITY BENEFITS FOR THE ELDERLY

AND A $2.00 INCREASE ON ALL MEDICARE RX BENEFIT CO-PAY"

There won’t be a COLA increase paid this January, and probably not in January 2011, either. But the cause is volatile oil prices, not anything done by the current Congress.

Social Security site:
"A COLA is an automatic adjustment in benefits that occurs annually.  The purpose of the COLA is to ensure that the purchasing power of Social Security and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits is not eroded by inflation.  It is based on the percentage increase in the Consumer Price Index for Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers (CPI-W) from the third quarter of one year to the third quarter of the next.  If there is no increase, there is no COLA."

IF THERE IS NO INCREASE IN THE CONSUMER PRICE INDEX, THERE IS NO COLA!

I know, it's just no fun when Facts get in the way of Propaganda!

Obama will fix everything with Obamunism.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

The Social Security Administration announced earlier this year that it would be funding electronic medical records. That much is true. But the author of the e-mail is wrong about whom the records are for and how they are being financed. "The only thing this e-mailer gets right is the amount," said Mark Hinkle, a spokesman for the Social Security Administration. "This has absolutely nothing to do with members of Congress."
In August, the SSA announced the "availability of $24 million in contracts to provide the agency with electronic medical records to improve the efficiency of its disability programs." Hinkle said that the records will make the process easier for members of the public who are applying for disability benefits. The agency further explained the need for the electronic records in its August news release:

....yeah, you are right. Everything cost pretty much the same, except property taxes have been the only thing to triple since then. I guess the imbecile government can't control itself like the rest of the world can.

Social Security has gone bust! There is no money in our 'social security bank account'.They spent it! Now it is coming back to bite the government in the a$$. Just another hand out program that the government created and does not know how to manage!!

Now with the deep recession and people having less kids to join the work force (if there were jobs), there is even less money going into the social security program!!! Gee, guess the founders and those that followed, didn't plan for the 'rainy days', huh?

Ah so what the hell, social security ain't working, freddie and fannie aren't working, so lets create a health care beast! These people have LOST THEIR MINDS!

When it reaches the point where the government can't fund all the entitlements that they have created the whole country will turn on them and there won't be anywhere for them to hide.
