There are huge differences between Carbon Dioxide Emissions by state.
States with clean energy programs have significantly lower emissions.

    Average Metric Tons per Year:

    9.50 - Connecticut
    10.98 - Vermont
    10.99 - California
    11.01 - NEW YORK
    11.71 - Oregon

    Compared to:
    124.20 - Wyoming

And significantly higher energy costs.  Look at all those nice added taxes on your next utility bill.

Trees and plants need co2 to thrive so that they can convert it to the oxygen we breath.

Plants do fine with excess carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.   More carbon dioxide for plants, like an excess oxygen for humans is not necessarily beneficial.
However, humans need a sufficient amount of oxygen to survive...

An increase of co2, that depletes our atmosphere is harmful to both plants and humans.

The your project should be to stop all the countries from cutting down too many trees to create farm land and build houses.

I'm not one who believes that we are the sole cause of the co2 problem, the carbon footprint of the USA is far lower than that of China, India, and all the countries in South America and Africa that are burning down the rain forests.

Burning a tree, is carbon neutral.  It creates just as much co2 if burned as if it were allowed to die and rot.

If the land is reforested, the damage is reversed.
Suppose humans are only half of the cause of the increase of co2.  Shouldn't we reverse that damage.
The USA has always lead the world in the environment and technology to improve the environment.

It won't matter one bit if the human race goes extinct because of co2 produced by China, the USA or Brazil... what matters is that we correct the problem.

South America and Africa aren't reforesting they are building houses, grazing cattle, and by removing the trees there are fewer of them to remove co2 from the air and replace it with oxygen.

Shadow...
I'm glad you understand the problems so well...
SO!!!

What are you going to do about it???

Complain to your senator and congressman to reduce co2?
Start reducing it where possible right here in NY?
Work to inform and fund projects to reduce co2?

Or watch Fox News deny that it's real?

First you have to prove that man is the cause of the problem. Methane concentrations are higher now than ever b4 but the problem is what's causing it because they can't accuse man for causing that. Find the real cause of the reason that methane and co2 levels are up and take corrective action but not until the cause of it is proven with facts and not a political agenda for redistributing wealth to poorer countries of the world.

While the doubters wait for Fox Noise to be convinced, the earth atmosphere deteriorates... once past the tipping point, the end will be irreversible, at which point Fox Noise or anything else won't make any difference.

When you have to hide stories from scientists who disagree with you, place weather gages closer to cities and near airport runways to allow jet exhaust to help you prove your theory of warming, that's not a source that will be accepted by many. This earth has been here for a lot longer than man has and changes have happened all thru it's history and some were not good but not manmade. It takes a lot longer than a few years to prove a theory, The same guy, Hansen, in the 70's was screaming about the coming ice age and now he screams global warming and the whole world must believe him, I think not.

I agree with the portion of your quite above.

The world has been here a long long time, and through it's history there have been many mass extinctions, caused by various different circumstances.

Why should our time be any different.
