Former Republican president G W Bush is blamed more than President Barack Obama for the budget deficit, unemployment and illegal immigration, according to a Bloomberg National Poll conducted July 9-12.

So far in this thread, you're the only one to suggest a prejudice or bias on Bloomberg's account .. why are you defending that nobody has posed as an issue?
Oh good!!! The government media complex propaganda is working!

Dems still taking aim at Bush By: Jeanne Cummings August 2, 2010 04:35 AM EDT
One of the most potent arguments Democrats used to capture seats in the past two election cycles can be summed up in two words: President Bush.
Now, they are being urged to ride George W. Bush’s continued unpopularity one more time in hopes of stemming losses in November.
It’s a risky gambit since that very strategy fell flat last year in the 2009 governors’ races in Virginia and New Jersey. Still, armed with some promising polling data, some Democrats remain convinced that Bush-bashing is electoral gold.
“The central challenge for Republicans heading into November is to shed the Bush economic legacy, and so far they are doing that,” said Jon Cowan, president of Third Way, a moderate think tank. “Democrats have to show they have a plan for private-sector-led economic growth, and they must tie Republicans to Bush. There is still time to make that case, but it is running short.”
Cowan isn’t the only one advocating a revival of anti-Bush rhetoric.
“Bush is powerful shorthand. It’s not enough in a race, but it’s a pretty good way to frame their opponent,” said Jim Jordan, a Democratic strategist. “They should be asking their opponents to give three areas in which they disagree with George Bush.”
The advice is rooted in the results from several internal Democratic polls that suggest the mere mention of Bush is enough to flip voters’ preferences. Third Way released one such poll last week.
When voters were asked if they would back a candidate who would stick with President Barack Obama’s economic plan or a generic Republican opponent “who will start from scratch with new ideas to shrink government, cut taxes and grow the economy,” Obama’s team lost 30 percent to 64 percent.
But when the same question was rephrased to pit an Obama stalwart against a candidate “who will go back to President Bush’s economic policies,” the result flipped: The Obama ally was the choice of 49 percent of respondents compared with 34 percent for the Bush backer. ...................>>>>..................>>>>.................http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0810/40524.html
"For the first time since President Obama took office, voters see his policies as equally to blame with those of President George W. Bush for the country’s current economic problems.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 48% of Likely U.S. Voters now think Obama’s policies are to blame for the continuing bad economy, up three points from last month. Forty-seven percent (47%) say the recession that began under Bush is at fault. "
Oh, wait, they just realized that the Harvard elite democraps took Bush's recession and qudrupled down on on his overspending and stupidity and turned it into their very own democrap depression! That is because you only get so long to fix things, and if you make them worse (like the man-boy who never ran anything but BSed us all did) then you get rightfully blamed. My prediction is the as he continues the idea that the government has to decimate the private sector, and sits there wondering why his government-run economy isn't growing, people will only wake up more to the fact that we left a very hot frying pan with Bush, and jumped into a nuclear reactor with Obama.
"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."
A year and a half after leaving office, half of America still blames GWB for the Bush Economic Meltdown... while half blame the president who is stuck trying to fix the disaster.
NOTE: The question was: Who is to blame for the "CONTINUING BAD ECONOMY", not "WHO CAUSED THIS MESS".
At some point, Obama is to blame for the "continuing bad economy" under his term. BUT, If asked who 'CAUSED' the Economic Disaster, America still know who's at fault... George Worst Bush!

Obama is victim of Bush's failed promises
Greener Pastures Column -- Posted 04/26/10
Barack Obama is setting a record-setting number of records during his first year in office. Largest budget ever. Largest deficit ever. Largest number of broken promises ever. Most self-serving speeches ever. Largest number of agenda-setting failures ever. Fastest dive in popularity ever.
Wow! Talk about change.
Just one year ago. fresh from his inauguration celebrations. President Obama was flying high. After one of the nation's most inspiring political campaigns, the election of America 's first black president had captured the hopes and dreams of millions. To his devout followers, it was inconceivable that a year later his administration would be gripped in self-imposed crisis.
Of course, they don't see it as self-imposed. It's all George Bush's fault.
George Bush, who doesn't have a vote in congress and who no longer occupies the White House, is to blame for it all.
He broke Obama's promise to put all bills on the White House web site for five days before signing them.
He broke Obama's promise to have the congressional health care negotiations broadcast live on C-SPAN.
He broke Obama's promise to end earmarks.
He broke Obama's promise to keep unemployment from rising above 8 percent.
He broke Obama's promise to close the detention center at Guantanamo in the first year.
He broke Obama's promise to make peace with direct, no precondition talks with America 's most hate-filled enemies during his first year in office, ushering in a new era of global cooperation.
He broke Obama's promise to end the hiring of former lobbyists into high White House jobs.
He broke Obama's promise to end no-compete contracts with the government.
He broke Obama's promise to disclose the names of all attendees at closed White House meetings.
He broke Obama's promise for a new era of bipartisan cooperation in all matters .
He broke Obama's promise to have chosen a home church to attend Sunday services with his family by Easter of last year.
Yes. it's all George Bush's fault. President Obama is nothing more than a puppet in the never-ending. failed Bush administration. If only George Bush wasn't still in charge, all of President Obama's problems would be solved. His promises would have been kept, the economy would be back on track, Iran would have stopped its work on developing a nuclear bomb and would be negotiating a peace treaty with Israel . North Korea would have ended its tyrannical regime, and integrity would have been restored to the federal government.
Oh, and did I mention what it would be like if the Democrats. under the leadership of Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid, didn't have the heavy yoke of George Bush around their necks? There would be no ear marks, no closed-door drafting of bills, no increase in deficit spending, no special-interest influence (unions), no vote buying (Nebraska, Louisiana).
If only George Bush wasn't still in charge, we'd have real change by now.
All the broken promises, all the failed legislation and delay (health care reform, immigration reform) is not President Obama's fault or the fault of the Democrat-controlled Congress. It's all George Bush's fault.
Take for example the decision of Eric Holder, the president's attorney general, to hold terrorists' trials in New York City . Or his decision to try the Christmas Day underpants bomber as a civilian.
Two disastrous decisions.
Certainly those were bad judgments based on poor advice from George Bush.
Need more proof?
You might recall that when Scott Brown won last month's election to the U.S. Senate from Massachusetts , capturing "the Ted Kennedy seat," President Obama said that Brown's victory was the result of the same voter anger that propelled Obama into office in 2008. People were still angry about George Bush and the policies of the past 10 years. and they wanted change.
Yes, according to the president, the voter rebellion in Massachusetts last month was George Bush's fault.
Therefore, in retaliation, they elected a Republican to the Ted Kennedy seat, ending a half-century of domination by Democrats. It is all George Bush's fault.
Will the failed administration of George Bush ever end, and the time for hope and change ever arrive?
Will President Obama ever accept responsibility for something... anything?
Blame Bush? It’s Not Just for Democrats Anymore July 21, 2010 By Dan Chmielewski
The Republicans only have a platform of being the party of No. And new polls out, which frankly are not promising for anyone, still show the American people prefer the leadership of President Obama and the Democrats over the Republican Party.
In this ABC News/Washington Post poll, Americans are asked: “How much confidence do you have in [ITEM] to make the right decisions for the country’s future – a great deal of confidence, a good amount, just some or none at all?” President Obama comes in at 43 percent, the Democrats in Congress at 32 percent, and the Republicans in Congress at 26 percent.
When asked which political party, the (Democrats) or the (Republicans), do you trust to do a better job handling the economy? Democrats came in at 42 percent compared to Republicans at 34 percent.
A new Time Magazine poll shows voters still like President Obama and most of those polled still blame President Bush and his policies for the financial mess we’re in as well as the recession. Obama also beats Sarah Palin in a match up 55 percent to 34 percent. The same Time poll has voters preferring Democrats over Republicans by a single percentage point, making the Congressional races a statistical dead heat.
Asked to assign blame for the balky economy, 61% point to the Bush Administration, while 27% fault Obama. The President notched a favorable 31%-26% split between voters who believe his economic policies have helped and those who think they hurt, while nearly 80% believe the economy is stable or heading in the right direction.
It’s not Democrats who are trying to pass the largest tax hike of all time, but Republicans who are calling for the largest increase in the deficit in memory.”
