On Tuesday June 1, 2010 my perceived arch nemesis, columnist Carl Strock of The Daily Gazette wrote an article titled “Tea Partiers are heirs to the losing side”. I didn’t know about the article until a friend pointed it out. I had purposely cancelled my subscription months ago and Mr. Strock was the sole reason. My rationale was twofold. The majority of his articles seemed to repeatedly focus on his abhorrence for the Tea Party Movement and Christians. I am both. So I figured, why should I pay to have his opinions delivered to my front door. Ahhh, relief at last!

Mr. Strock wrote this about Tea Partiers: “Sometimes I think what they really yearn for is a country like Somalia, with no functioning central government at all, where the only law is religious law…”

He also wrote “They don’t want any such constitutional powers at all. They certainly don’t want any power by the federal government to provide for the general welfare, no matter how it’s construed.”

Strock insults the only sound energy policy

Re Carl Strock June 15 column, “Did someone say, ‘Drill, baby, drill’?”: Carl Strock is off on another hobby horse.
“Drill, baby, drill” is no substitute for a sound energy policy, nor is “Gore-ophobia.” Nigeria is a nation rich in natural resources. It is a sea of pain, HIV, brutality, generals with fancy uniforms — what occurs when colonialism ends without a game plan. America will become the Nigeria of the Americas if we are not wise. If we do not “exploit” natural resources within our sphere of influence, others will — and they will not be nice about it. What the collapse of colonialism was to Nigeria, America’s economic decline is to the United States.
Sound energy policy is the use and control of oil (coal, also) by America while alternative energy sources are developed.

Strock appears to have lost his way! I don't subscribe to the gazette, but we have one at work. I have not read one of his columns in over a year! They are nonsense. IMHO

He never found his way in the first place...he resorts to the left's typical character assaination when they cannot compete with facts
and sense threats to their liberal agenda.
