GB--that's because you're wihite, living in the burbs, and working.  These young kids face numerous barriers that keep them from achieving.  I think it's great they have someone to inspire them to aspire to a better life.

Time will tell and we will see how the 'non-burb' black community, who faces many obsticles, as a whole will be 'inspired' by our new president.

As I recall, 50+ years ago, the black community, or 'minorities' as the government calls them, which I call racial profiling, had more government handouts, than any other segment of society ever had. From free education, to housing, to medical care, to college grants, to jobs. Here we are today, and yes we do have a black president, but one that has made it through the ranks by knowing how to work the system through Chicago politics. By being a liberal who was 'selected' by the liberal media for this presidency. Who benefited by the corrupt organization, ACORN. Who received his 'christian' teachings for 20 years, from Rev. Wright, an American hater! Who connected himself with the likes of Van Jones and other anti-american radicals. GREAT ROLE MODEL!!

Even Bill Cosby, who had one of, if not the most 'black influential' tv shows over 20 years ago is dismayed and disappointed by the outcome his people.

Yes, it will be interesting to see, 50 years from now, how this role model works out for the black community.
