Former Representative Christopher Shays of Connecticut found it puzzling: over time, his friend Attorney General Richard Blumenthal kept revising how he talked about his military service during the Vietnam War. At first, in the 1980s, he was humble. He played it down, Mr. Shays recalled, characterizing it as humdrum desk work.
This was in the first article that I posted.

And I can say my friend Shadow stole from the collection plate at church....do you follow what I'm saying here?  This guy saying he is his friend doesn't make it true...or untrue.  Like I said, if you are looking at specifically what he said here, then you are missing the big picture.

Spin it any way you want Stein the man is a lier no matter how much good he's done. There's an old saying that a person is only as good as his word. the whole discussion was about whether or not the man said he served in Vietnam or not, and the fact is he said it, end of discussion.

You are right, no matter how much good he did it is time you crucify him for one embellishment.

What has that have to do with the issue before us? In his decades of "public service" he helped one veteran? Great. He needs to resign from Attorney General-his political career should go the way of Paterson. BTW, more is coming out about his Harvard years. Blumenthal is swimming upstream.

It looks like he has great support among vets and he helped many of them.  But hey, its not like he was caught in a men's room looking to get some...

The guy in the mens room wasn't campaigning or trying to win the gay votes.  He was 'hiding' his demented secret! Blumenthal lied just like hillary did....in an attempt to win votes. I believe biden did the same thing, right? How sick....using a war that they oppose to garner votes by lying!!! BIZARRE!

I don't compare this guy to Hillary.  She is an idiot.  This guy maybe did embellish and yeah maybe he is suffering from guilt of not actually having been in country. But he has no bad record that I've seen and I've only ever seen good things said about him.  He hasn't stolen or abused his power and has as the article says done a lot of good with it.

Using a war you and your party oppose, leading people to believe that you were in the same dangers as our solders experience and die for daily, out and out lying to american citizens JUST to garner votes is despicable and dishonorable!!! He needs to retire in disgrace!

What makes you think that hillary is a lying idiot and this guy isn't? Lowering the bar? Shouldn't we expect excellence from our elected officials or are we going to continue to give them a pass until someone with the likes of Jimmy Constantino lands in the oval office?Bill Clinton came close wouldn't you say?

"We have learned something important since the days that I served in Vietnam," Mr. Blumenthal said to the group gathered in Norwalk in March 2008.

Fail Again, eh?

Where did you get that quote ? He says nothing of the sort on the video.  Even with my Yates school education - I can understand English-
