I guess the voters will have a choice...whether the three assembly bloggers on here like it or not.

The REps are impotent.  If you don't get rid of Buchanan, you will be on the sidelines a LONG time.  Was with a group of State Reps yesterday (yes Dems are friends with other political affiliations) and even they were laughing at Schenectady County problems (more like bemoaning the fact they can't get the job done) and completely chuckled at Rotterdam's state of affairs.  One mentioned that NNTP candidates are definitely the reason the REps are out and admitted that it will be awhile before Rotterdam can be back in the hands of the REps.  Have I had a chance to thank you JM, BL, BM.

That is not what I hear at the State.  I hear that had Mertz run with  the Republicans he would have still lost.  Remember, Mertz was the only candidate from NNTP so a Democrat would have won at least one seat.  Mike O'Connor was a NNTP who had the republican endorsement and still lost and all the pols that analyze these things at the State level have strong indicators that McGarry took votes away from DelGallo.  Sorry but the NNTP was just a distraction and never really swayed the Democratic Party voters.

Alot of money and effort went into the Democrats race and the people are still mad at stumbling, bumbling GOP.  I was in the trenches with these guys and know where all the dirty little secrets are buried.  I want to come clean but I am afraid of what Gerard and Tom might do to me and my family.  I have read some of the posts about slander and lawsuits and I am here to set the record straight.  There is a few posters on here who know alot about me and I wonder how and why.  The how is Gerard has a big mouth and the why is he pissed off alot of influential people over that past 8-10 years.  I wish I knew then what I know now because I would have spoken up earlier.  Sorry.

The reps were impotent BEFORE the NNTP. That is a no brainer. It started coming apart at the seams before this last election. Locally, it totally fell apart under the GP leadership.

And thank you booms for pointing out that this present town board is there only by default. Not because of competence.

I don't believe oconner, although a registered rep, was ENDORSED by his party. If I remember correctly, he had to primary. I think!!

I don't think Oconner received an ounce of help or a penny from the Rotterdam Republican Party during the campaign.

Money didn't lose the election for Mike OConnor...his association with Mertz killed him.

BT--Yeah I don't think you are wrong about how the Dems got in.  But again you can thank BL and the crowd for that.  If Mertz was such a political dynamo he would have known his move was spite and not what was in the best interest of the party.  Buchanan should resign.  Maybe have lunch with Mertz and they can commiserate.  O'Connor was probably the most decent guy on that NNTP line and the Reps didn't help him.  And btw, they never helped Gary Spadaro either and he was a decent sort.  And I must say FDG is doing a better job in one year than ST did in all his time on the board and as Stupervisor.

Buchanan should resign...terrible leadership.  From what I hear he ran the entire campaign at the town last year...And Rasputin...nobody is stopping you from telling the truth on this blog about people...but yes if you lie and slander people that will probably bite you.  Just state facts..such as ..Amedore went to Swaggert Bible College.  Thats not slanderous because it is factual.   If I said Amedore was a nutjob..that might be slanderous because its not really provable but rather a derogatory comment....so go ahead and be factual and nobody will stop you...just be prepared to back it up!!

It just may be of your OPINION that I do drugs. My family and friends know I don't.

People talk everyday at coffee shops, grocery stores, convenient stores, over coffee, over a beer, over a neighbors fence AND on the internet. Are you suggesting tape recording EVERYONE'S conversations while voicing their opinions to one another?
