I am not GP. Second, it must be nice having a restaurant to pay for your drinking habit...The gin would also explain the insanity spewing from your mouth. GP created the 5-0 majority not Buchanan. GP increased the power of republicans in Rotterdam, before RAC decided to destroy everything. I want to give GP credit for being an intelligent attorney and CPA. I want to give GP credit for what he is currently doing on the town board. Never did I suggest giving him credit for what elected officials did before him...

did you actually just say that with a straight face? and i am the one with the half bottle of gin.........

Sally, when GP took over as chairman the republicans did not have a 5-0 town board. Before RAC decided to destroy everything, the republicans did have a 5-0 board. Therefore, GP increased the power of republicans.

Interestingly enough, John Mertz's arrival and departure to the Rotterdam political scene swept the Republicans into and out of power.  Mertz's ability to rally support against the Walmart Supercenter and articulate a position was the driving force behind the Republicans town majority.  The fact that Mertz wasn't a home grown Rotterdam politician(or as senders would say "gumba ganstas") was appealing to many residents.  As we now see, the home grown(gumba gangsta) politicians are in it to rob and pillage the town for their own enrichment.

Are you joking!  Diane Marco beat Mertz, Tonko beat Mertz and he lost a primary as an incumbent council member.  Mertz was one of the driving forces in the demise of the GOP.  Backstabbed his way to the glory of a councilman (big deal)and then tries to take credit for their demise (NNTP.)  SICKO!!!!

Its six o'clock on a Thursday
As the regular crowd shuffles in
Theres an old man sitting next to me
Makin love to his tonic and gin

He says, son, can you play me a memory?
Im not really sure how it goes
But its sad and its sweet and I knew it complete
When I wore a younger mans clothes

Sing us a song, youre the Lawyer, man
Sing us a song tonight
Well, were all in the mood to get rich, my friend
We're geared up and ready to fight

Now the Judge at the bar is a friend of mine
He's referred several clients to me
And hes quick to sustain when I'm playing the game
But theres someplace that hed rather be
He says, bill, I believe this is killing me.
And I've more important cases to try
I bet I could convict that ex-football star
He lifts his glass and he brags with a sigh

Now paul is a real estate counselor
Who never gave time to his wife
And he talks with John Moyer the big divorce lawyer
About starting his unmarried life

Well the secretaries are all playing politics
As the attorneys we slowly get stoned
Yes, we're sharing a drink they call loneliness
But its better than drinkin alone

So sing us a song, youre the Lawyer, man
Sing us a song tonight
Well, were all in the mood to get rich, my friend
We're geared up and ready to fight

Its been a pretty good year despite tort reform
And the partner he gives me the nod
cause he knows that its me theyve been comin to see
The almighty (and good) P.I. god

And the piano, it sounds like a carnival
And my breath smells strongly of beer
And I sit in my chair feeling utter despair
And say, man, what am I doin here?

Sing us a song, youre the Lawyer, man
Sing us a song tonight
Well, were all in the mood to get rich, my friend
We're geared up and ready to fight

tanqueray is an old friend -

but it doesnt make me blind to the fact that you keep ignoring specific points -

under GP - they only time i can recall in my current state that reps have 5-0 majority was when silva resigned and they appointed Stan M.

so giving him credit for producing a 5-0 majority doesnt mean anything to me.

I think Gerard was talking about me and the gin.

What I find amazing is how you, GFP, convince people to buy this nonsense!

Buchanan was chairman when Tommasone, Mert and Holly Villano comprised the majority.  TB then convinced Della Villa to run at the same time he was moving to the county.  It was YOU Black BS Spidey that demanded Jack Denney a DEM would be the other candidate.

The result, all Buchanan candidates won, and since then ALL GFP recruits have LOST.  Then you add full control of the committee and running the last campaign and the result was historical.  And GFP, full of arrogance, refuses to take ANY responsibility.

As for Mertz, it's ok for him to stay retired!  We don't need the drama of another Brett Favre.

I'm still of the school that this will be VERY entertaining, so please let the game begin!  One last thing, when GFP goes down, so will the chance of Tommasone to ever try a comeback.

There you go again Peeps, acting as if public office is a prize to be sought after for personal glory.  Glory of councilman?  That is the reason for the NNTP and Tea Party movements.  You my dear are the SICKO!

Just the mere fact that JM was able to rub the entrenched Rotterdam political class the wrong way made me a supporter.
