Well, be wary of absolutes.  According to those Conservative Party ratings, there are a few that are more Conservative.

But again, those ratings are done by the people in charge of the Conservative Party. The leaders, like George, are not necessarily core Conservatives...just core vote-getters!

Publius,

Our Forefathers wanted to conserve their rights to life, liberty, and property as Englishmen guaranteed under the British constitution.  If you want to invoke the Forefathers, one might wonder what they would have thought of government violating a person's personal property rights.

Cissy, not sure what you are getting at there. You want an elected official to protect property rights? You mean like GP protecting the property rights of homeowners against zone changes that would negatively affect their communities and home values? GP has been protecting the little guy, day in and day out, against the current administration's attempt to diminish the rights of landowners in Rotterdam. Where is your trumpeting that? Oh wait, you'd rather trumpet Amedore. What has he done for property rights other than try to get an illegal zone change that would negatively affect the community, but positively affect his own wallet? That definitely seems to be a core value to protect....

Protecting the little guy by trying to cut a back door deal with sync so galesi could get their 'right of way'? Both parties are dirty! And GA remains clean!

You mean GP the guy who sued SYNC to have them removed? You say he allowed them to move in as if he personally handed these people keys. What did you expect him to do? Raise a militia and fortify the entrance with cannons and muskets? Once again you people say he didn't do anything under the previous administration and that he didn't pass anything. Well perhaps that has something to do with the fact that he was not in office and was merely the town attorney. He acted on behalf of his clients. He wasn't in a position to set policy or make law.

Spidey,

So does GP believe that government needs to have a more active roll in central planning? (i.e. Metroplex, IDA, Planning Board, Zoning Board)  Is that GP's conservative values?  My point to the forefathers comment was that BOTH parties fall well short of the original vision of the forefathers.  Steering town planning and zoning while your law firm is profiting as acting legal council for those town board committees isn't what the forefathers had in mind either.

I am talking about the GP who backdoored Macejka out of the Assessor's Office, brought in a buffoon assessor to seal a deal with SI, Long Pond and any other GOP donor. Cut the assessments of many GOP connected residents and had the idiot "surprise" guys like FDG who doth protest.  GA is the BOMB!

What are you talking about he was the town attorney. He represented the town board and some of its sub-boards. You aren't making sense. He wasn't directing policy or steering anything. He was providing legal counsel...

Are you saying our forefathers intended that people work for free if they work for the government? I'd like to hear the view of Publius on this subject, hopefully he will weigh in...

when did that happen?

sync sued to have galesi continue sewer service just like they did for army/fed
then sued town to grandfather zoning as residential

they failed twice

but under gp and past adminstration sync bought property and moved in lots of people, shouldnt the town attorney have had something to say about  it then????????????????????????????????  Did the town attorney ever file a cease and desist letter to sync???????????????????  I usually have my lawyer do that before i grab my coon skin cap and musket!!!!   Shouldnt the town lawyer advise the town how to proceed? the inspector sent a letter. And GP wasnt even sure if the properties were inspected or not, good communication and leadership

http://decisions.courts.state.ny.us/ad3/Decisions/2009/506371.pdf

." According to the information, Sync Realty was told by town building department officials that the apartments “were a permitted use” for the property. After town building inspectors looked at the property, and violations regarding fire alarms were fixed by the owner, the owner began to rent out the properties. In August of 2008, Sync Realty was sent a letter from the Rotterdam Building Inspector Mickey Maher stating that the use of property as apartments was illegal. After appealing the decsison to the Zoning Board of Appeals for the Town of Rotterdam, with the board siding with the town, Sync appealed the decision to the Supreme Court of the State of New York, who upheld the decision."

...and Rotterdam Republican Party Chair...and represented Golub...and represented Galesi...and represented RIDA(negotiated deal with pal Angelo to create 7 jobs)... Recipient of Metroplex loans...Now appointed town councilman, and looking to primary for higher state office.

Yes exactly how the Founders envisioned the path to public service.  Profiting every step of the way.

BS (how appropo), you're so full of it.

On one hand you want to give GFP (aka you) all this credit, then you want to say he was only town attorney doing his job.  You are a joke my friend.

As town chairman you browbeat board members and wanna-be candidates to carry the water on what has proven to be horrible public policy.

As chairman you sanctioned the creation of a new tax district, because all the while you were going to be paid off with legal fees.

Buchanan gave you a GOP majority, the most popular board in recent ages and you blew it.  As pointed out by other posters, you have made one mistake after another.

The way you left the town attoney position was a disgrace.  How many shredders did you guys go througjh anyways?

New faces, new ideas and new names!  That's what we want and need.

I am not GP. Second, it must be nice having a restaurant to pay for your drinking habit...The gin would also explain the insanity spewing from your mouth. GP created the 5-0 majority not Buchanan. GP increased the power of republicans in Rotterdam, before RAC decided to destroy everything. I want to give GP credit for being an intelligent attorney and CPA. I want to give GP credit for what he is currently doing on the town board. Never did I suggest giving him credit for what elected officials did before him...

It's hilarious to read this revisionist history. Such great REP leaders that they lost everything-every race from Town Jerk to Supervisor. Then they blame the press, NNTP, Assembly, bloggers, the voters, everyone but themselves. Now they have the nerve to write idiotic letters to the Editor?

GA is laughing at you. Obvious attempt to help ANG in the general. Both will be crushed. Would the State GOP please come in and remove these idiots? Take the whole lot.

The hell with assembly seat.  GP should be running for statewide office.  The brainchild of the Rotterdam 5-0 GOP stronghold is better than the 105th.  Take on Lazio, Paladino and Levy.  Why not throw yourself into the soon to open seat for AG.  CPA no problem take on DiNapoli.  Hey you probably would give Gilly a run for the roses.

GP is King of the World as in Jack Dawson on the Titantic.  The ship is sinking.  GP resembles Adolph Hitler more than the second coming of Christ.  IMHO
