No it doesn't settle anything.  Salamone believes that Parisi is the best candidate and feels that Gerard should be the candidate.  Who wants to support a candidate that thinks someone else is better for the town?

When a non-candidate is beating the endorsed candidate that doesn't think he's the best candidate, you know the Republicans are in trouble.  To add salt in the wound, this blog is primarily Republicans.  What a sad bunch of bafoons.

That's a lot of words to put in someone's mouth! What's wrong with someone yielding to the sitting town board member if they choose to run for re-election?  I think that Frank del Gallo would tell you quite honestly that there are people who could run the town better than him.  Ron Severson's name was thrown around for a town board seat - and he yielded to better candidates.

Sounds like you're on a rampage to try to discredit Salamone for things I doubt he's even done! I'd really like to hear Chris Tomaselli's take on this - since you guys are all supporters of his, hopefully he can quash the disaster brewing here and set you on the right path!

Where'd you hear this nugget? Who told you? Where was it said? Did Salamone say this? Even if he did, it sounds like Salamone said he thinks he's prepared to represent the public and that he is qualified, but that there is someone in Town he thinks is more qualified. What's wrong with a little humility? Should the candidate have the position that he is the greatest person on earth and no one could possibly be better than him? I like the idea that a candidate understands the purpose is to help the people in town and not to advance themselves.

So, all this said, at what point will we residents know who we can select between for the TB position?  We know that Calder is the Dem choice.
Would be nice to know if we could or should back the Rep choice without having to worry if the endorsed candidate will change in the months
leading up to the election.  Do I decide between Calder and Salamone?  Calder and Parisi?  or Calder and some other late arrival?
And, yes, my decision would be different depending on who the Rep candidate is.

What is the last date at which the a substitution can be made legally?

Maybe they should open a new thread --- as only Wayne Calder and Frank Salamone are
actually running for this office.

I believe Mr. Calder will win big.   But it would be interesting to see a poll in the blog on the 2 way race.

This is a sounding board .. no more.   You are trying to drag the dog park issue over to this thread.

I don't think that the Board of Elections would call off the actual election .. if say .. 90% of the bloggers in here decided they all supported  Mr. Calder or Mr. Salamone.    Same way, I intend to let the full Parks Commission discuss an idea that was brought to it by a taxpayer -- even though a lot of boggers in here said that they are opposed to the idea.   BTW - I did thank you all for your input and I WILL take your concerns to the Commission when we discuss the Dog Park issue -- just as I would the concerns and ideas of any other taxpayer.
