Thruway to be widened in Capital Region this year

The New York State Thruway will be rebuilt and widened to three lanes in each direction between Exits 23 (Interstate787) and 24 (Adirondack Northway), the state Thruway Authority announced this morning.
     
The project will cost $115 million, and is the largest of several repaving and other improvement projects in the Capital Region this year.

Overall, the Thruway Authority said it will spend about $637 million this year on projects, the most ever.

The recession is for the private sector only. The public sector is spending and hiring like crazy. Traffic volume is down because of high tolls-so raise the tolls. Simple.

     This project is another Obama make work special. This pathetic State refuses to cut spending and layoff employees. They don't get it, they refuse to listen, they all must go now.
