It appears Hiram Monserrate has taken a play out of Brad Littlefield's playbook and started a new party so that he can run against Jose Perralta.  It is called the "Yes We Can" party.  He will soon find out "He Can't."
JM and BL are you doing consulting work in Queens?

Is he starting a 'new party' or just a ballot line? From what I can remember, the NNTP was just a ballot line, not a new party.

One of us is mis-informed. And I think it's you. I honestly never remember BL or anyone from the nntp saying anything about a new/third party. I understood it as these guys belonging to a major party(not all the same) but either didn't get endorsed or didn't ask for an endorsement from them. I thought the object was just to gain an independent ballot line. PERIOD!

I talked to each one of them, before I decided to support them, and not once did I ever get the feeling or was it ever even mentioned or suggested that BL or any of the others even thought of a third party. And most all of their supporters got that same impression.

Our present political system makes it 'impossible' to form a third party. Everyone knows that!

Sorry BT but BL claimed it as a new party.  He didn't run around saying join my new ballot line.  He said they started a new party because they couldn't get included in the parties they were in.  If you can find Mertz, ask him.

If our political system makes it difficult to form a third party how do you explain the Green Party, the Working Families Party and anything else that is out there.

Well then BL must have claimed 'new party' to you cause he or JM or BM or MO NEVER said that to me or many of their supporters that I know. And to my understanding, it's not that 'they' weren't included in the parties they were in....it was 'they' who wouldn't be beholden to any party or party bosses.

The nntp was born LONG before the words 'party endorsements' were even mentioned or thought of. Sorry, but you are barking up the wrong tree and spreading misguided facts with untruths based on hearsay rumor or your own and other's perception. Which you are known to do.

Showing up for one fundraiser doesn't make you the center of knowledge.

Oh is that fundraiser that was also for YOU that you didn't even attend that people still speak of? Yes I voted for BL but did not attend any fundraisers for him or the NNTP party.

Oh you were there alright. If you didn't you wouldn't have know that JM was aol! And don't say that you 'heard' that JM wasn't there....cause then that's just hearsay...remember?

You were the only 'dem hack' there!

Then it's hearsay!  So take it up with BL and Gadfly--both repeated it not to mention it was the talk of town hall. ST mentioned it at a family gathering.   I do believe there was more than one Dem at that event--it just wasn't me.  You don't know who you are speaking with.

First I don't have to take it up with anyone....cause I know the FACTS.
Second, it wasn't the talk of the town. Only the topic of discussion for the few in the 'gossip group'.
Third...I love this one....

Ya gotta love it!
Forth, not that I care, but you are very recognizable. You are perhaps the only one who throws bullsh!t names around like you're the Queen of England. No body does that better than you!

I'm confused.  If it wasn't meant to be a "party" - why is the name of it NNTP (No New Tax Party) ?
