Angelo Santabarbara filed a complaint of unfair campaign practices against George Amedore today, Oct. 8, alleging Amedore violated campaign principles “2” and “4.”

The first allegation made by Santabarbara is Amedore violated the second principle by calling Santabarbara a “lawbreaker” in a newspaper report prior and after the Supreme Court’s decision finding Santabarbara not guilty of any fraudulent practices.

The second allegation is Amedore distributed a press release where he was quoted to have a “dissenting opinion of a court of appeals justice.” where he presented a separate case to use as precendent for making a decision in fraud allegations against Santabarbara.

Fair Campaign Practices for the Capital Region principle 2 states, “The candidate will not engage in, permit, or condone unfair or misleading attacks upon the character of an opponent.” Also, principle 4 states, “The candidate will not use, permit the use of, or condone the use of any campaign material or advertisement that misrepresents, distorts, or otherwise falsifies a fact or the facts regarding either the candidate or an opponent.”

Quoted from CICERO

Because it's about as relevant as asking what candidate's family running for the 105th was selling illegal fireworks out of their garage 20 years ago? Does it really matter?  It's a non-issue and irrelevant to the election.

Amedore’s promises remain unfulfilled
Assemblyman George Amedore Jr. has been eerily quiet as our representative for almost four years now, while we suffer and he fattens up.

George Amedore reported an income of $592,042 last year. That’s nice for him, but how about helping the large majority of constituents with their bottom lines?

During his two campaigns for office, Amedore talked about “restoring the economic might once wielded through industry in Schenectady and Montgomery counties.”

Eliminating Thruway tolls between Albany and communities west in Schenectady and Montgomery counties, and pursuing an ethanol production facility were all part of “Amedore’s I-90 Jobs Plan” to “boost employment, support local agriculture and make travel to the Capital Region’s western fringe easier for businesses and commuters” — all promises that were made almost four years ago. We, the people, are still waiting.

With all due respect to Mr. Sanders and Mr. Amedore,   New York gave up the chance to take off the
Thruway Tolls over 25 years ago -----
Senator Moynihan worked hard to get legislation passed that would
have brought the New York State Thruway  under the same federal management as most interstate
highways.        New York Thruway -- the Pennsylvania Turnpike -- the New Jersey Turnpike and Garden
State Parkways .... were all started BEFORE the Eisenhower Interstate Highway Act was passed and thus
did not qualify for the federal funds and management  that later highways like  I-87 and I-88 qualified
for.
Moynihan got the Federal government to make a provision that would have let the older toll roads qualify
in exchange the  Thruway Authority (and similar authorities in other states) would have been eliminated
and the tolls lifted.
After all of Moynihan's efforts -- Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey decided that they would rather
keep their toll highway authorities and the keep us drivers paying tolls.   The Thruway Authority is such
a "pit" for patronage jobs and contracts .. no state politician (Dem or Rep) was willing to cut if off.

George Amedore is the most Conservative area lawmaker. ANG cannot win no matter how many oversized signs he throws up. DEMS don't trust him and REPS won't ever vote for him again.

Really hilarious how many nonissues ANG's crew comes up with. Nobody cares about any of this. We need more REPS in the Assembly to stop Silver from running amok. Not another Silver puppet in the Tonko mode.

Gerard, or Page16 or whatever you're calling yourself nowadays, how about them sour grapes?  You guys are so transparent, if you only worked half this hard when you were chairman!  At least Ms. Donovan seems to be trying to be a leader in the party.

At what point do you realize that people have no respect for selfish individuals who torch their own party?  Where is that party loyalty?  You know, when the party comes together after a primary?

You should join the others and move aside.  Funny, you and Tommasone bash Amedore for not supporting you guys last year and now you're just proving that you are the type of people unworthy of support from him and the party.  Maybe it's time for you and your little group to join the Dems too!

Everyone is saying that now. It's funny, but people DO equate Santabarbara with Savage. Mainly because their campaign fliers are bragging lying about the same accomplishments. People in schenectady county are pretty much placing the decline of the county, the high taxes and high crime rate on Savage and Santabarbara. And for the people outside of the county, they are even smarter!!! IMHO

What's even funnier is that both ANG and SS Savage are taking credit for creating the same nonexistent 3,500 jobs. ANG claims he created 3,500 since he switched parties last year. SS Savage says she did it in 10 years. The problem is that this County LOST 1,000 jobs between 2000-10. They should blame Frank Duci for that.

There are no NEW jobs! They are all relocations!!

Offer any business a no tax, metroplex, empire zone deal, at the taxpayer's expense and sure they'll relocate.....then LEAVE!!!
