Well, there are plenty of people that have been in Albany MANY more years than Amedore, such as Hugh Farley.  Some are also proponents of term limits, even posting out on the internet that they are for them, but have been in office for over 20 years being consistently reelected (Tedisco).  There are also many others who say nothing but have been there forever.  The first person I'll believe actually believes in term limits is one who states they are, states how long of a limit they're for, then after that time DOES NOT RUN FOR RE-ELECTION.

I was voicing my opinion about the circulating petition, dimwit!

That's fine if you say I'm not credible. Then go to the source for the FACTS!! Don't spread innuendoes and assumptions. k?

Take your own advice.  You can't have an opinion as to whether or not something is being circulated.  It either is, or it isn't.  You chose to assume it wasn't before getting the FACTS.  Now, perhaps after realizing this, you'll realize that not just Mertz & Co. can rage against the machine for good reasons...others can too! Or are you still in denial about that fact?  I'm sure it will only be a matter of time before you trip over yourself with that issue, too.

So you are confirming that GP is factually and absolutely planning to go 'against' the rep machine?

But we need more facts...cause it don't add up......
Is GP attempting to derail the reps at the state level?
Is GP and cohorts attempting to derail and take over the dem party?
Is GP attempting to do what is right for the taxpayers and that he has no personal or political motives or possibly just an axe to grind?

lets move this discussion in a more constructive direction

since some of you are on the committee, and you dont have to drop names.  But are you actually in discussion with anybody that would be a viable candidate to replace amedore? what about for town board? what about supervisor and town board for 2011?

or do you guys just want amedore to show a little more "respect" to the party?

i want strong independent fiscally conservative candidates.  unfortunately those that i know that would make great candidates are smart enough to stay away

LS you want what all the voters want no matter what post they may be running for or at what level of government. Hopefully that person will step forward when the time comes.

Yeah, as soon as he/she does step forward, the local GOP will be sure to cut them off at the knee's.

I'll say fiscally prudent

whether we like it or not money needs to be spent on items such as

sewers a requirement for business development
water - at least 2 loops
roads, curbs or side walks
equipment

education  - as looked at town wide
properly educated staffing

proper sharing/consolidation of services

i feel we also need to provide small business with a growth engine removed from the town in the mid 70's
i think the county might already have something
if not than a modified version of it to help small business' grow
by small business i mean under 100 employees company wide

the desire to keep our town at an equalization rate of 100%

How about the poor?  Their services are getting cut left and right.  How about the elderly?  Now they are cutting the funding for home delivered meals.  You're living in a town that has a high percentage of seniors and a town structure that is not able to meet the needs of the elderly because of a lack of interest in livable communities that include senior citizens.

With the Bumbler's call for anarchy, we could just get the social programs we need and still take care of the drainage problems and sidewalks where necessary and keep our schools up to par.

Our AD encompasses more than little ol'Rotterdam. The franking/mail issue is another loser. Yes, it's a big waste but they ALL do it. What about Farley's junk mail?

GA has the highest CONS rating-if you want to burn your bridges from both sides go ahead.

dont talk about the 'poor elderly'.......the problem is that there was no foresight.....the town infrastructure is OLD......there fore lacking in everything else......

The problem is, someone has to pay the bills, and Rotterdam needs to cut programs to pay the bills.  Where's this money gonna come from?  STOP SPENDING MY TAX DOLLARS!  NYS is like a 18 year old kid with his first credit card, when your broke, fix your situation by stop spending.

I don't have a flatscreen, I don't have the top of the line car, or a snowblower.. or a ride on lawn mower.. but i do have a new house, I do have my bills paid, and i am not in debt.. I have a savings account..
That's the way Rotterdam needs to act.. instead of.. well we will have money to pay the bill later, just ring it up on town credit.

Hey Bumbler--you're the one who is pretty recognizable.  What has Lent got to do with posting?  You think I am to the left--you're the one calling for anarchy.
