Exclusive: W.H. privately plots 2012 campaign run
By: Mike Allen
February 24, 2010 04:33 AM EST

President Barack Obama’s top advisers are quietly laying the groundwork for the 2012 reelection campaign, which is likely to be run out of Chicago and managed by White House deputy chief of staff Jim Messina, according to Democrats familiar with the discussions.

The planning for now consists entirely of private conversations, with Obama aides at all levels indulging occasionally in closed-door 2012 discussions while focusing ferociously on the midterm elections and health-care reform, the Democratic sources said. “The gathering storm is the 2010 elections,” one top official said.

But the sources said Obama has given every sign of planning to run again, and wants the next campaign to resemble the highly successful 2008 effort.

David Axelrod, White House senior adviser, may leave the West Wing to rejoin his family in Chicago and reprise his role as Obama’s muse, overseeing the campaign’s tone, themes, messages and advertising, the sources said.

David Plouffe, the Obama for America campaign manager, described by one friend as "the father of all this," will be a central player in the reelect, perhaps as an outside adviser.

"The conversations are beginning, but decisions haven't been made," a top official said. "If you look at David Plouffe's stepped-up level of activity with the political organization [as an outside adviser on the 2010 races], that is obviously the beginning of the process." ......................>>>>...............>>>>..............http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0210/33411.html

Of course obama's campaign will be run out of chicago! That's a no brainer. He has no other state majority to go to that will support him!  I'm sure his ACORN friends and his Czars will be quite helpful!!

Obama was elected the first time by bending the truth so bad it looked like a cork screw, fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.

Obama has a better chance at becoming the president of Venezuela, Cuba, or Iran than he does winning reelection
for the Presidency of the United States.

The American people have awakened and are paying close attention to the deeds and words of their elected officials
Obama will be a one-term President unless the Republicans endorse another aged RINO like McCain in 2012.

The only thing is he'll have to throw out the whole hope and change idea, or it would be change from him and his cronies.

I agree that McCain failed to excite the Republican party base.  There is a very good chance that he may not even
survive a primary challenge from Conservative J.D. Hayworth for the U.S. Senate seat.

There's one other State that supported him and still does-New York. At least Illinois can say he was the Senator-what's the excuse here? Dopes wanting change? There must be something in the water.

No the dopes didn't want change they were counting on all the free redistributed money that was going to be given to the big cities in NYS. Well we as a country are just about out of free money and I predict that in the near future there will be big cuts in spending in all the states in order to keep from filing bankruptcy and there will be a lot of people screaming to stop the cuts.
