Quoted from Shadow
Before Bob G was elected to the TB he had no trouble flapping his mouth at every TB meeting demanding answers about everything going on in the town. Now that he is on the TB when he's asked a question he tucks his tail between his legs and hides.

This town has killed my interest in the democratic party.  I can't tell if it was growing up and having real responsibilities, or the stupidity / arrogance that did it.  Then again, I look at Sarah Palin and just realized i'm screwed from both sides..

I don't spell check!  Sorry...

I am thankful that the Gazette published Joann's letter in today's paper...the residents need to know the new Town Board is treating those who attend the meetings.  As I posted on another thread, Channel 16 pre-empted the replay of the 2/10 meeting today after the first 40 minutes...the privilege of the floor comments, the town attorney's question/answer pitch and ND's statements were not shown.   Intentional cover-up?  Maybe?  Probably?  More people read the newspaper than those who watch Channel 16...so great job in getting the word out there, Joann!

This is old news! It has been going on for three years and there were many articles about it and even a televised debate between a county legislator and a member of the SACC board (funny she was also in the league of Democrat women voters too!) Look it up! You people don't know the pervasiveness of the liberals to control every institution, do you? wow! Ask the LWBL newspaper and see what they say. Malcolm Provost called me names when I called him about it! LOL!

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

We shouldn't have to be thankful. We live in a democracy where all voices can and should still be heard.

ROTTERDAM
Town Board will wait to respond to residents

BY JUSTIN MASON Gazette Reporter

Gene Szymanski paused at the podium for a response from the Town Board but was greeted with silence.
The Rotterdam Junction resident spoke during the public comment period last week to ask whether the board planned to do anything to correct perceived errors in the revaluation. The answer he got instead was from Town Attorney Joseph Liccardi, who succinctly informed him that the board will no longer address the public directly during its bi-monthly meetings.
Starting this year, questions addressed to the board will be answered at a later date. Liccardi said this will allow board members to research their answers carefully rather than give knee-jerk responses.
“That’s the way all meetings will be conducted,” he said Wednesday. “This is the protocol that is going to be followed.”
Liccardi said residents can still expect to get answers, just not right away. He said questions will be answered in writing at a later date rather than immediately during the meetings.
Some people speaking at last week’s board meeting — including Szymanski — seemed somewhat baffled by the change.
Public comment periods during the administration of Steve Tommasone were often characterized by a back-and-forth discussion between the supervisor and residents. While Tommasone sometimes corraled speakers into addressing the board and not individual members, he often provided them with some form of response to their inquiries.
But Liccardi said such a discussion can put the board at a disadvantage. He said often times they lack the information needed to give a qualified answer.
“There are a lot of questions that can’t be answered on the spot,” he said. “A public comment period is intended to be just that: a public comment period.”
Liccardi said he hasn’t personally received any complaints about the change in policy so far. He said the change isn’t unique in that many municipalities don’t provide on-the-spot responses to public comments.
“This way, there can be a more thoughtful and thorough response,” he said.

I think liccardi is the town attorney.(?)
I think godlewski is the ethics attorney.(?)
I think 'god' is a wanna be supervisor.
I think they won't let FDG be supervisor.
As far as REMS....that one is up for grabs!

Circus act ain't it???

Does godlewski(attorney) provide legal council to the ethics board?

According to the news article, he DID - but he's not supposed to. There is a woman they appointed as their attorney.  Sounds to me like he needs to take a few more trips around the block, before he's put into such an important position.   Rumor has it that for Liccardi's $15-20K, he just does board meetings.  He isn't really around much more than that.
