Senator Evan Bayh {D-IN} will not run for re-election in November! This opens another safe DEM Senate seat up for the REPS. The decision shocked both parties.

Sen Bayh cited excessive partisanship that makes progress on public policy difficult as his reason for not running again.

I just heard that on the radio. The dems know that they are in trouble and are not about to spend millions on a campaign they clearly can't win. They are dropping like flies. Let's see what we can do about NYS now!!!

The media is characterizing him as a moderate Democrat.  He recently voted for the National (Socialized) Health
Care legislation.  Come November, he, like all of the other big government advocates will be finding themselves
on the outside looking in.

Bye Bye Bayh.

Bayh Falls Out of 'Love' With Congress, Will Not Seek Re-Election

Indiana Sen. Evan Bayh announced Monday that he will not seek re-election this November, an unexpected decision that hands Republicans an opportunity for a pick-up in a year when Democrats are already defending several open Senate seats.

Saying there's no love lost between him and Congress, Sen. Evan Bayh announced Monday that he will not seek re-election this November.

The Indiana Democrat, whose retirement came as a surprise to many in his state and on Capitol Hill, lamented that partisan gridlock has made his job less gratifying and suggested he could serve the people of his state better in the private sector or at a non-profit. Calling his decision a "very difficult, deeply personal" one, Bayh said he had no interest in running in November solely "for the sake of winning an election."

"I love working for the people of Indiana," he said. "But I do not love Congress."

Bayh's decision hands Republicans an opportunity for a pick-up in a year when Democrats are already defending several open Senate seats. ...............>>>>................>>>>.............http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010/02/15/democratic-sen-bayh-seek-election-year/

No loss. When are Schumer and Gillenbrand following son of Birch out the door?

Morton Zuckerman publisher of the NY Daily News may run against Gillenbrand-with Harold Ford talking about a DEM primary. Opponents to Scott Murphy are lining up four deep. Where is the tea party patriot to take out horrible Tonko?

Alleycat still has a pre-Scott Brown mindset. It's all over for Obama & Co-if the GOP can win over there they can win anywhere-except this County for obvious reasons.

I think it's quite clear that no one has come close to beating Tonko EXCEPT another Democrat.  No Republican has come close to unseating Tonko in any race thus far.  The only way he could lose is if another Democrat went against him in a primary and won.  There might be a dem or two who could do that.  But that would need to be backed by Jennings.

state only Dems and Reps can run.....that is one system in this country that CAN change on a dime, if we dont fear it.......
