Do the right thing? It's all about the politics. And in the end we, the taxpayers, pay for it.

Speaking of the TB meetings. I have noticed a real lack of respect for the preceedings by many in the audience. There is a constant din of noise and many comments and remarks made during the meetings. It reminds me of a crowded bar more than a TB meeting. I guess it just goes along with what is occurring when this board is seated. In fact I was told that after one speaker spoke out against EE he was called an a$$ by someone in the audience. I don't care who the Supr. is this shouldn't be tolerated. Yet the circus continues up front and in the back.

You guys are so full of anger and a mean-spiritedness--get off this.  Of course people are going to defend Eunice.  She is LOVED and TRUSTED.  She did a favor for some seniors--big deal.  Wait till some comes out.  She was set up I am sure.

MT-re: the grant.  I apologized on another thread.  I gave out faulty info.  I was told by an "insider" tht the secretary had already made back her salary.  She did write a grant but no one has heard about as yet.
Again I apologize to the forum for speaking before I had the facts down.  Sorry MT.

Again, 4 or 5 people out of 30,000 came out to "defend" her....hmmm (mostly her relatives),
they are defending someone who notarized the signature of a dead person....
he/she wasn't a senior, he/she was DEAD.  No one set her up and if that is going to be her
defense, it is time for her to GO!

She always knew from all previous boards what was going on....and as long she could keep doing what she thought was 'right' in her own eyes that was okay......

THIS IS why we have a constitution and we are the US and not Britain....she is not a queen, the supervisor is not the king....we are a land of laws.....and the laws she is required to follow are to prevent
fraud/theft and uphold some kind of ethics.....so she was what the people's watchdog or only a watchdog for a certain pack of gumbas.....because really folks, she has been in her position for HOW MANY
years....under HOW MANY supervisors......????

Nothing personal to her....but, you have a position in government you are hire/required to perform under certain guidelines/laws/regs.....THAT'S YOUR JOB....I dont give a rats hoot about your poor aunt/uncle
brother/sister etc......no one is more equal.......

This town needs an enema......thank you for your service,,,,move over.......

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

I couldn't agree more BH. I have attended these town meetings for a number of years now...and I have never seen such rude,
obnoxious behavior from the audience, or the speakers. And you are right - that should not be tolerated.

What do you mean by "not be tolerated"?  I think it should be addressed by asking WHY are people acting this way... Or, why isn't the town board responding to residents issues?  Why must complaints and/or suggestions be submitted through a written letter?  Why is our town supervisor not allow to go off script and prevented from answering residents off the cuff.  It took only two TB meetings and it is already clear the emperor has no clothes.

And BTW, by "not tolerated" do you suggest police presence at the TH and escort those who are being perceived as disrespectful out of TH?

Both parties ran a campaign accusing the other candidate running as being unethical, uneducated, and in some cases even criminal.  Peoples reputations were dragged through the mud.  Now we wonder why such a hostile environment at TH meetings.

Did I hear Nicki DiLeva say that she moved to Rotterdam from Schenectady to make a better life for her children, then in the next breath say how great Schenectady Schools are and how great the students are?  Why didn't she stay in Schenectady and keep here children in Schenectady Schools if it were so great?

A town board that will not answer questions during privilege of the floor, yet gives Ms. DiLeva 5 minutes to lecture the residents.  Isn't this a government Of the People - By the People- For the People. OR Of the Party - By the Party - For the Party.

Nicki decided to run for office when she noticed her taxes were higher than anybody else's on her street.  Would she have chosen to be a public servant if her taxes were the lowest on the street?  Or would she have just kept her mouth shut, and reaped the benefits of being under assessed.  Mr. DelGallo hasn't voted in 10 years, he was reassessed and is now paying his fair share, so he decides to run for office.  Would he have decided to run for office, if he were able to continue keeping the hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of property improvements off of his assessment, keeping it artificially low?

Go to the meetings and bombard them with questions and make note of the silence.  These are your elected officials.

Thank you for that video. First of all I would like to say that the Supr. should speak up and reprimand the audience when it gets clearly out of control has it has done since January 1. If he doesn't take the lead and admonish these people these meetings will get worse and worse. Other than ND's crazed rant the most significant thing that came out of it is we will not be able to approach our TB with any questions unless they are written and handed in prior to the meeting. I guess that way the Supr. will have enough time to rehearse his answers. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Everyone who gets up to that mic and has need for information should insist on an answer right then and there. Open and transparent government. GIVE ME A BREAK!

Crazed rant? You must have been watching a different video then the one posted... You may feel it was inappropiate or unnecessary (I would disagree with you) but "crazed rant"?

People who decide to run for public office do so for many different reasons. Other posters here are stating that ND stated that she ran because of her high assessment which appeared to her to be out of line with other neighboring homes. In her statement, she said it was ONE of the reasons why she ran. I laugh when people criticize that statement. I wonder how many individuals decide to run for office because they are unhappy with the amount of taxes taxpayers pay or because they feel they are being treated unfairly by the current office holders and disagree with the way they are going about their jobs. I would think it would be a high precentage of them.
