This is what Rotterdam Democrats expect of their government when they are in power.  And history backs this up.

Town Board - Favored treatment for select builders and developers(Spot Zoning) in return for kick backs and/or campaign contributions and votes.
Assessors Office - Assessments adjusted or building permits waived in return for votes for the supervisor/party who appointed him.
Clerks Office - Handicap Permits handed out without verifications & Notarizations done without person present.

The Democrats ran a campaign to "change" town government.  And they did just that.  We have just gone back 20 years to 1990.  It looks like the Developers are first in line to get greased.

Because they took to task an employee that was knowingly screwing up.  The whole town knows that EE has been screwing up, but yet our TB has been astoundingly quiet on the issue.

Stockbridge was immediately placed on paid administrative leave from his job, which pays $104,770 a year.

OH Yah ---- PLEASE DO put EE on "paid administrtive leave" ---- and nearly triple her salary to boot!   I would wholeheartedly support that!!

BTW and FYI --- I am a staunch, Conservative Republican ---- so my position is NOT political partisanship ---- (doubting anyone else can claim that) but FAIRNESS and APPROPRIATENESS.
(I'm ashamed to be on the same political side, ... though obviously for different motives.)

You don't take a loyal, selfless, 40+ year servant of the Town and hang her out to dry for helping residents ---- maintaining the SPIRIT of the law ---- which is to verify signature and ownership of their own property. It's just too bad she was so willing to put herself at such personal risk to help others get what they deserved (STAR program benefits).
Did she make a mistake --- obviously ---- is she a criminal? NO WAY!!!

Take away her Notary "privileges" .... go ahead, AFTER she has answered to the State Board ---- NOT to yahoos like you all! You sharks just want to draw blood ---you're not interested in justice.

How sad. I guess it is true "No good deed goes unpunished."

Senders - I agree that no one is more equal then another but some are more privileged due to position and responsibility.  Everyone can not know what our elected officials know and deal with.  IMO that is why we elect them.  For their ability to deal with things we can not or will not.

These officials are compensated for their service either financially or through health care, dental, vehicles for work ect.....  No different then any other big buisness.

Selfless would be to take time out of one's own personal(unpaid) time to do a good deed, while performing to the best of their
trained/learned ability that which they set out to do, of course in a selfless, "I dont care if you elect me, because I am that nice"...

to do a good deed is THAT personal.....anything else from the government just mucks it all up.........

Her job is to do just that.....DO HER JOB! She doesn't even have to be 'nice'. Just do your job! The job you were hired/elected to do. Being nice just reflects a personality trait. Being nice doesn't negate breaking the law.

Selfless....Are you saying that it is acceptable that EE's niceness that helped someone get an illegal tax break is acceptable?....... even though her 'niceness' not only screwed the rest of the taxpayers, but may cause this person to be forced to pay back taxes?

SURPRISE!!  (as in Mr.)

Substitute Him for Her, and appointed for elected. Situation fits.  Guess he's doing his job too.

I had to renew my mom's handicapped parking tag last week. Ms. Esposito gave me a form that had to be filled out by my mom's doctor first. A couple of days later, I went back with the form filled out by the doctor, and I got her handicapped tag. My mom's first tag did not require a form.

Ms. Esposito was very pleasant and very personable.

Maybe not Barbara Esposito (Eunice's daughter), but notary fraud is not a good
deed.  Maybe you should stop defending your mother's criminal act and get her
out of Town Hall today!  I am sure that you are well aware of her ineptness and
senility.

I predict that EE will get a slap on the hand.....resign as was planned before the election....and the hand picked 'clerk' will slip in.

Can anyone just imagine how this would have played out if it were LF who notarized for a dead person instead of EE?

Lynn is smarter than DM and EE combined.  There would have been no issue with her doing that.

MM what evidence do you have that LF is smarter or would have acted differently in any set of circumstances?  I don't think you have any.

What happens with Eunice STAYS with Eunice!

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."
