Sombody--Matthew is not a good person to site in this issue.  A gnat is not kosher nor is a camel.  Matthew was always arguing with the Jewish community and althugh not as anti-Semitic as John still clearly was anti-Semitic.  Truth be told if Peter had had more power than Paul, we would all be kosher now.  (at least those of us who are Christian.)  The rest of your post I agree with.

HH--perhaps her decision making was flawed in this case but I don't think it is an international incident.  So she should surrender her stamp.  And then we should all call it a day.  And if she resigns then who will be there next?  DM?????

If Del Gallo were smart? Lynn Fiorillo.  She knows the in's and out's of that office, and would be an absolute asset.  I haven't found a single resident who thought her to be negative when campaigning, and I think she truly cares about the town.

What a great, across-the-aisle gesture that would be!

ABSOLUTELY NOT.   LF has no place in that office.  Across the aisle gesture---make me laugh.  Like  the other administration EVER made an overture.  SHE IS FINISHED IN ROTTERDAM.

That's why it will never happen. Lynn has bigger fish to fry.

Lynn Fiorillo is hardly finished in politics. She has a brilliant political future in this County. Eunice is an institution in town and Lynn did better than any other REP.

Lynn should leave the town baggage behind her and move on up.

AlleyKat, please feel free to let us know why Lynn is "finished" in Rotterdam.  She ran a clean campaign, and people seemed to like her.  Why would it be so terrible to appoint her to this position.  Can Eunice, and the Dems, not get past the fact that someone RAN AGAINST THEM?!  What is the big deal?  They should embrace the challenge, and the result.

As far as the former administration reaching across the aisle, I think most would argue they did that a little too much!  To their demise, actually.  Appointed Joe Guidarelli (Conservative) to a town board seat.  Kept Kim Bruhns, former confidential secretary to Paolino, on board.  Appointed Dems, Ind's, and Cons to IDA, Planning Boards, etc.

Other than getting rid of John Macejka, what havoc did the former admin. wreak in terms of eliminating Dem employees?

Maybe, here's an idea.  What are the chances of calling a physic to tell us the next town clerk.  Maybe Katie O'Conner can help us out on this ... ya, there's an idea.

ROTFLMAO.

What about Brick and Riitano from the Senior Center.  Want to talk about havoc--the seniors stormed TH over that one.

It's this general rotterdam mentality, such as ally's, that keeps this town a laughing stock of the capital distirct. And people wonder why there was a NNTP. People are sick and tired of the old, as senders would say, 'gumba mentality'. The political parties run supreme and the hell with the taxpayers!!! Yup....a spectator sport....cheerlead for your favorite team! Pathetic!

I can see why the dems would feel threatened by LF. She would bring some honesty and literacy to the TH. She would outshine them all!!! Actually most people in this town would outshine this present town board! It will go down in rotterdam history as the WORST!! It is an embarrassement. IMHO

And ally.....we are all still waiting for the FACTS on exactly what the last administration did that was considered 'breaking the law'. Since you have not responded....we can only assume that it was nothing more than liberal socialist democratic 'accusation' and 'spin'.

But even Parisi alluded to the fact that it makes sense to hire your own town attorney!

Answer me please, AlleyKat.  You said Lynn Fiorillo is finished in politics, and made it seem as if she were unqualified for the position.  I'm awaiting details from you.

The attorney was a no brainer. All administrations do it! As far as ritano, I honestly don't know if it was  political or not. But there were many seniors that  were glad she was out. They really didn't like her there and were not disappointed when she was gone. Well, that's what my friends at the senior center told/tell me.

I'm not demanding Eunice's resignation at this point.  I think more of what happened or didn't happen needs to come out.  How many times did she break the law?  Who asked her to?  What were the circumstances?  I don't want this swept under the rug with a slap on the wrist.  I want it truly investigated so Rotterdam taxpayers are informed on what really happened.

There may be more infractions to the office of Town Clerk than Notary.  Recently someone has pointed out the handicapped tags may also not being issued in accordance with the law.  Maybe more of the day-to-day operations of that office should be questioned.

Lynn Fiorillo would be a great appointment if it is determined that Eunice is not able to continue in her role as Town Clerk.

I know for a fact that handicapped tags were given out without doctor's recommendation and given to people representing someone else. Illegal? I honestly don't know and never gave it much thought until this all came to light.
