Incumbents do nothing, don’t deserve votes

Gas is nearing $3 per gallon again. The price of food, clothes and everything else is up. And once again, Washington does nothing!
Our representatives should all be ashamed. I’m glad 2010 is an election year. I sincerely hope that not one of the incumbents is returned to office.

I certainly hope that in Nov 2010 people who get elected will vote to allow for the drilling for oil, building of nuclear power plants, and using more natural gas along with green solutions to ease our oil dependence from countries who hate us. For far too long our elected officials have been following principles that were dictated by campaign contributors, special interest groups, and lobbyists and not a thought given to the security of the people who elected them. We need to be totally independent from foreign sources for our energy needs.

I had an interesting conversation the other night at a local business. There were several people there talking about.....what else.....politics. Of course I joined in and even though some were dems, some were reps and some, like myself were blanks, we all agreed to.......VOTE EVERY INCUMBENT 'OUT'! They actually want to start a 'VOTE OUT THE INCUMBENT' movement.

They all shared the same sentiment, that 'we the people' have finally woken up and will vote every incumbent out. It will make a statement to the 'new' officials, that we aren't going back to sleep any too soon and will do the same to them.

Interesting enough, they even brought up the upcoming governor's race and said....no vote for paterson and a no vote for CUOMO! They all see Cuomo as one of the good old boys who has been around the political block too long.

It's gonna be a hell of an election year to say the least!

Time for voters to abandon parties and declare independence

In very general terms, I support the current health care reform effort and I sympathize with much of President Obama’s agenda, as I understand it. But, God forbid, I am not a Democrat or a Republican. I am, very proudly, an independent. Clear enough?
How many of you, regardless of your political persuasion and whomever you may have voted for in the past, truly believe that you really have the slightest thing to do with whatever occurs on the national political stage anymore? Me too.
So what can anybody do about it? For starters, renounce whatever political party you currently belong to and re-register as an independent!
Even with all of the political [uncertainty] these days, as in Massachusetts, just imagine the terrible angst and gnashing of teeth at the DNC [Democratic National Committee] and RNC [Republican National Committee] when they realize that they can no longer count on “the regulars” to show up.
At some point, it’ll be too late. Are we there yet?

I agree all incumbents out. To the list of Cuomo and Paterson, I'll add Tedisco and Amedore.

FOX News Poll: In 2010 Elections, Incumbents Beware

Americans dispense just about as much disdain for Republicans (42 percent favorable; 46 percent unfavorable) as Democrats (42 percent favorable; 48 percent unfavorable), according to a Fox News poll released Friday.

As Americans look ahead to the mid-term elections, anything new is preferable to anything old, -- such as an incumbent.  And despite recent Republican wins in Massachusetts, Virginia and New Jersey, this is not necessarily good news for Republicans.

Americans dispense just about as much disdain for Republicans (42 percent favorable; 46 percent unfavorable) as Democrats (42 percent favorable; 48 percent unfavorable), according to a Fox News poll released Friday.

On the other hand, the new kid on the block -- the Tea Party Movement -- fares better (35 percent favorable; 22 percent unfavorable), although more than four of 10 voters are unable to give an opinion or say they have never heard of the group...................>>>>...........................>>>>............................http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010/02/05/fox-news-poll-elections-incumbents-beware/

Incumbents will become the next on the endangered species list. I say vote them ALL out! And I believe the people are so pi$$ed at the government, that the people WILL be heard in the next election cycle.

...here is the problem with that: Democrat liberals WILL ALWAYS vote democrat, no matter what the "blanks" and "republican-leaners" do. So while Independents and GOP folks are voting out their republican incumbents because they hate the way things are going with the tax and spending, the democrat liberal base is flipping the lever loyally (as they always do 100%) for the far-left socialist democrats who now have each and every station of the Cross from town board on up to the White House firmly in their grasp. Mark my words. And THAT is why this is the template for the government controlled media to keep pushing: VOTE OUT INCUMBENTS (you independent, constitutionalists and conservatives) NOW! See, you underestimate how they have infiltrated every aspect of our lives. And many of you will do just what they say this fall, and there will be MORE far left socialists in office.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

There is no way I will ever vote for another Democrat or RINO as long as I live. We need candidates that are honest, say what they mean, mean what they say, believe in the Constitution and follow the wishes of we the people. Unfortunately there are far too many Liberal Dems that will pull the lever for the Dem candidate no matter what. Watch how many Dems are voted out of office come Nov 2, 2010 because of what they tried to do in 2009 and whatever they do between now and Nov.

Sorry GB, but the entire country doesn't run like schenectady county! Don't forget NJ, Mass and Virginia.  Also, this country is not only in a 'vote out the incumbent' mode....it's also in the 'anti-dem' mode.....thanks to obama and pelosi and reid and frank....and the rest of the crew.

Whether the reps were in control or the dems.....they ALL have contributed to the mess we are in today!

But again, keep in mind, the rest of the country is NOT like schenectady county. But perhaps we can change the state!

The only problem is when the 'scare 'em podium pucks' get used....one main tool for politicians are the colleges and education costs.....

fake a cost hike to look like a savior.....that's BS politics....and that is where they will also try to garner votes,,,,no different than using the 'poor seniors'

also the cost of admin in colleges is ridiculous.....

who cares about a college loan pay back....young adults are just as apt to piss away 50,000 on a vehicle.......

GET OFF MY BACK
