And Joe Salamone has dated ST's daughter for years.  Whats your point?  Everybody in Rotterdam is related.   Did you know that Mr Parisi is related to the Dagostinos?  Idiotic post MM.

My point Diane is if that FDG can't handle being the supervisor, don't get your relatives to fight your
battles for you.  FDG looks bad enough and letting Godlewski do all the talking at the meetings is
making it quite clear that he is clueless.  He can barely get through reading the agenda without
help from the attorney sitting next to him.

its been up all week, have any of you actually read it...

http://www.osc.state.ny.us/localgov/audits/towns/2010/rotterdam.pdf

"We reviewed payments made to 11 professional service providers,
totaling $1.7 million, during the audit period. During this period,
payments to individual service providers included approximately
$262,500 for architect services, $173,000 for legal services, and
$118,000 for IT services. We found that professional services totaling
$559,500 were procured without the Town seeking competitive price
quotes from other providers."

Legal services? IT services?

Notice it doesn't say "illegal."  The report clearly states that the town COULD have put itself in a position for overpayment.  COULD have.  And although it's morally wrong, and fiscally irresponsible, overpayment for services is NOT a crime!

Get over it!

I'm sure this is all legal but.....

Paying a sitting town board member's company more than they should....hmmmm!

Paying a town attorney, GOP Chair more money than they should......hmmmmm!

Question....were these amounts figured into the budget? Who voted for them and who voted against them...if any!

And can 'we the people' actually see these bills and who the checks were made out to and for how much and for 'exactly' what service they provided that 'we' paid for?

Illegal? Unethical? Who was on the ethics board at the time?

TBV--overpayment of services is not a crime to you?  You must live out of town.  Get back to us when you are paying taxes in Rotterdam.  Unethical for sure.  Thought Mr. Mertz from the Ethics Board was on the Council.  Isn't he an attorney? How did he miss this?  Or didn't he?  Between him and Parisi how did that fly under the radar screen?  Not making a judgement--just curious how that could have taken place.

WHO OVERPAYED?!?!?!?!?! I'm not an attorney...if they town gave me that money, it would have been overpayment, because I can't do the job.  Where's the proof, other than BS hearsay from you and others that there was overpayment.  Where should our focus be?! Honestly, people...get a grip!

Ok....so the current guy on the ethics board is M. Pasquarella. I guess he is a friend of Parisi???

But who was on the ethics board before him? Ya know, while these transactions transpired?

To the best of my knowledge, the Ethics Board responds to complaints and action filed with them...does anyone know this to be different?

Just because something isn't deemed illegal doesn't make it legal and just because something is illegal doesn't make it wrong either.......

In the eyes of the law, that's PRECISELY what it is.  Ever hear of innocent until proven guilty Senders?  It has something to do with not being treaded on.

So all of those legal expenses went to Parisi's law firm EXCLUSIVELY? Were there others? I guess that I or anyone else can just foil for it....right?

I believe that Michael Viscusi, Republican endorsed candidate for County Legislature and the uncle of
Republican Democrat County Legislator Angelo Santabarbara was on the Ethics Board.  Santabarbara's
company, Chazen Engineering had a contract with the Town of Rotterdam.  He was also the head of the Rotterdam IDA.

Does Viscusi still sit on the Ethics Board?  Did the new Town Board retain the services of Chazen Engineering?

To quote senders, "they all feed from the same trough"
