What has Farley done for us lately? Is he worth to be re-elected?

At least Farley hasn't been disingenuous by saying he supported term limits and then continuing to seek reelection term after term. I would prefer my politicians not treat me like I'm stupid. I think Amedore is doing that, I don't think Farley is.

Comical..... George has been in office for 3 years and Farley for 300. Farley has played a major role in our current fiscal mess and you want to criticize George when he continuously votes against tax increases. It just blows my mind how some people think. When did 3 years constitute "being there too long"?
What is Farley now, 106 years old? He will have major exposure this year if the Dems decide to take a real shot at him. He is part of the establishment that has put all of us in this mess. I will not vote for him. I want to see a fresh face who has the correct adjenda. And Savage doesn't fit the bill either...
Farley doesn't advocate for term limits...Amedore does. That seems to be the point here. Perhaps Amedore should quantify his term limits? Or maybe his lapdog cousin Peter can do it for him.

Lapdog..... LOL. I could care less about term limits. I care more about results. Farley was in the MAJORITY in the Senate for how long? And what was the result of his service? That is what the point should be. How about comparing their voting records?
TBv, I don't expect you to answer any of that. It's just comical to hold George accountable for 3 years service when the guy with 300 years in is just peaches and cream. LOL. Your one sidedness is very evident. Eight years in a position is pretty standard for individuals who support term limits. That would mean that Farley should have left a few decades ago and we would probably be better off if he did.

Bumble, give me a list of his 40 year accomplishments. If I was running against him, I would put him in the same company as Silver and the rest of the tax and spend candidates. He has been a major contributor to where we are today in this fiscal mess and I'd love for someone to show me why this statement is untrue.
Again...I have no horse in these races. My point is simply this...Amedore emphasized term limits, Farley never has. Nothing more, nothing less. Eight years seems pretty reasonable for term limits. Don't know why you don't expect me to agree? I think it's a good idea. I just wonder how much "on his feet" thinking Amedore does...or if someone else turns his head for him (i.e. Peter, Assembly minority, etc.)
Just to make sure I didn't read your statement wrong, are you Peter, pg13?

standing by watching someone blow up folks cars/homes and then doing nothing is just as wrong......even when their lips aren't moving there is stale bread in their bellies

No, I am not Peter but I do respect him as a genuine good person. I'm sure if Peter chose to post something, he would do so with his own name. I certainly wouldn't consider him anyones Lapdog but everyone is certainly entitled to their opinion.
As for you not agreeing, I figured you wouldn't agree about my criticism of Farley. Of course Farley wouldn't speak in favor of term limits. How could he with a straight face. But then again, it makes me laugh when Tedisco talks about it. Has he looked in the mirror lately?
I agree that George is continuing to learn about politics "on the fly" and at the same time the issues that plague our gov't. We need representation from candidates to get us out of this mess. More candidates who thinks and votes like George. Candidates like Farley need to retire. But hey, that's just my opinion. George could stay in his current seat for a very long time but what good is it going to do us. He is one of 40 some (I believe) Rep who are in a pitiful minority.
We need wholesale changes in candidates statewide. I just don't get the criticism of George on this issue. He is a strong Conservative based candidate who consistantly votes that way...
Let's be clear...I believe Farley is a dolt. He serves little purpose as a Senator, and should be replaced. I was speaking SPECIFICALLY to term limits.
I would love term limits. However, I do think that imposing term limits may be a violation of 'free speech'. Let us remember that when we, the electorate, vote....we are exercising our right to 'free speech'.
Remember that political positions weren't created in a vacuum. They were voted in, by the electorate exercising their right to 'free speech' with their vote.
So although I would love to see some of these clowns out of office....I really don't think it is constitutional to impose term limits.
For example....I never voted for Tonko. I, personally would have loved to see term limits on him. However, there was obviously a majority of the electorate who used their constitutional right to 'free speech' to continually elect him. Their right to vote/choose should not be silenced just because 'I' don't want him in office. IMHO

The President of the USA is limited to 2 terms so how can it be unconstitutional. If we the people voted in term limits on a referendum it would be legal.
