Prove it to us Peter. Deny the endorsements to the Republican incumbants who you state that voters want out of office. Several of them have been in the same elected office for more than 20 years. If they have been unsuccessful in limiting government and reducing taxes for 20 years, they have proven to be ineffective.
And, don't bring back the political retreads like Pataki. It's time for new candidates who have not been compromised by and become a part of the corrupt system. If you mean what you say, reach out to the Tea Party supporters and seek candidates who share their values and ideology.
What do they think, by proposing term limits, do they think they are fooling conservatives into believing they are now somehow conservative Republicans? The people aren't fooled anymore. People are beginning to realize that you can put in place term limits, but you still have the apparatus in place that controls these politicians. THE TWO PARTIES.
How about Republicans propose Recall election legislation? So when the electorate gets burned by a guy like Angelo Santabarbara who switches parties mid term, the voter can recall his seat so they can have the representation they voted for.
Perhaps P.G. should join the NNTP/tea party groups. He seems to acknowledge that the tea party movement appears to have their finger on the pulse of the american people.

Pete G really needs to think about what he is saying. Amedore ran on a platform of term limits, so when is he going to do the "moral" thing and say he is not running anymore because he doesn't believe in career politicians? After all Amedore also ran on the platform of being a deeply religious, family man, who believed in principle. Where are these principles Mr. Assemblyman?
Honestly, I like George. I think he's a good enough guy, but how do you run on a platform of term limits then continue running for office time and again? It's time for him to call himself what he is: a politician who wants to stay in office, or live up to his principles and not seek reelection. Either way, I wish him the best, he's a good man.
As far as Jimmy goes, does anyone really take seriously that Jim wants term limits? It's sad that a man who has done so much good for us, as his constituents, and residents of the State as a whole has plummeted so far that he needs to argue for term limits to try to keep his seat. I feel bad for him, he has done a lot for us. He is a dedicated public servant and has put his neck out there for us time and again. If he is no longer able to do that, perhaps it is time that he leaves office with the dignity and respect he deserves. Michael Jordan went out (the first time) at the top of his game, Jim should leave while he is still remembered for the good that he did. I worry that if he continues on this platform that he will become nothing more than a parody of himself and that his legacy will be that of a politician who cared more about keeping his seat than the people he represented. His legacy should be that of a man who protected our children from child molesters, made it criminal to abuse animals, protected children and the elderly from abuse, helped lead the charge for mental health parity, and tried to keep Eliot Spitzer in control.
GL....First amedore is not a career politician. He has a real job in the private sector....remember? I may not agree with some of the things amedore does or doesn't do, but I do believe he is in politics to 'serve' the people. I don't believe he joined this cesspool for personal of political gain.
Second, amedore won, in part, because he was running against Kosuir. Remember the ridiculous sex offender law?
However, all of these politicians need to change their ways cause the tea party candidates and supporters are coming!!

What about Hugh Farley? Hasn't he been in office as long or longer than Tedisco?
I think that they should both retire and support others with conservative values to run for their seats. The Republican party must nurture and promote younger members as candidates.
