NY Liberty Council Presents
"Am I Your Next Representative? " Meet the Candidates Forum
7PM, Wednesday, 1/13/2010
Large Auditorium, Albany Public Library, 161 Washington Ave

After a grueling year of fighting against the political insiders, it is evident that the only way we can reclaim our government to strictly follow its authority under the Constitution, is to have citizen representatives from our communities run for office.  Meet us as we have three active liberty neighbors who are taking the bold steps to consider running for office, but they need your help to see if they have what it takes to be our representatives.

Come to this very important meeting, as this is your chance as citizens and liberty grassroot activists to help influence some strong freedom minded individuals to take the risks that many of us are not willing to do, and commit to run as a citizen representative.

The individuals who will be presenting themselves this Wednesday night include:

Warren Redlich, Governor, Republican and Libertarian Ticket

Current Republican Town of Guilderland Board Member, Warren Redlich was also the 2004 and 2006 Republican Congressional Candidate for the 21st District.   He is a web entrepreneur and lawyer.  His main principle is simple, but important for NYS, "Stop Wasting Money."  He has been involved in the liberty movement for several years (here is a blog he wrote about the April 15th Albany Tea Party: ), and is a limited-government, Constitutionalist.  One of his ideas to to cap all NYS government employees to $100,000. There are over 80,000 government employees making well over $100,000 a year, and this alone would save NY taxpayers over a billion dollars a year.http://www.wredlich .com/stop- wasting-money/ 2009/04/yes- they-can. html

Debra Busch, Considering Federal or State Office, Republican and Conservative

Deborah Busch M.S., R.N., a registered nurse, Knox resident, and graduate of Berne-Knox-Westerlo High, who in 2009 ran a strong, close campaign to become the first female coroner in Albany County history. While she did not win, she turned many heads by running a conservative campaign that made a high impact with only a handful of volunteers.  Debra is now active with the local Tea Party grassroots in Albany, and is looking to restore accountability and constitutional values back in government.

Patrick Ziegler, Higher Office as an Independent Republican
On of our very own is considering a big move toward higher office.  Better known as "Protest Patrick" on the popular 810 WGY Al Roney show, Patrick, along with his wife Mary, was one of the key grassroots leaders spearheading the local Congressional offices and Townhall protests that lead to national recognition over the people's disdain over the unpopular Cap & Tax and Universal Health Insurance bailouts.   Patrick is a strong supporter of Constitutional limited-government, self responsibility, and individual freedoms.

So be there this Wednesday to ask the hard questions that will help make the decisions for these individuals as well as our local community grassroot groups to be our next citizen representatives or not.  Be there at 6:50, as we will start at 7:00 PM sharp.

Note: As these individuals are not official candidates, they are not endorsed by NY Liberty Council or any of its member groups at this time, but your participation in this meeting will help make future decisions should these individuals choose to run.

These candidates are being interviewed and vetted by the NY Liberty Council and other "Tea
Party" organizations for future endorsements and organizational and funding support.

More candidates for local, state, and federal government elected positions to be announced.
Stay tuned.

Warren Redlich??????????  Have you all lost your minds?  Warren is a huge annoyance--and that's just to the Republicans in Guilderland.  Yes by all means, run Warren.  Finally a person Paterson can beat. LOL

Busch didn't win.  That's the point.  No name recognition here.  Ziegler's major problem is being on the Al Roney show.

Why do this now?  People are still celebrating their elections.

alleykat,

The information that was posted was received from one of the Tea Party organizations.  As the correspondence states, the identified
individuals are not, at this time, endorsed by the NY Liberty Council.  They are, however, among those who have expressed interest
in campaigning for public office and who seek the endorsements and support of political parties and the many independent organizations.

This is an opportunity to meet with these people.  There will be many other names of candidates identified in the coming months.

In fact, if there is anyone who is looking into the possibility of running for any office, the NY Liberty Council is looking to talk to all who may run.

I attended the Meet the Candidates forum last evening at the Albany library.

I was very impressed with Mr. Ziegler.  He has knowledge of the history of U.S. government, an appreciation and understanding of the founding
principles documented in the U.S. Constitution and a command of many of the important issues that face our nation.  Pat is an educated, well
spoken, and attractive young man who captures the interest of the audience with his knowledge and presentation.

I believe that Patrick Ziegler, a conservative Republican and Tea Party participant and supporter will defeat Scott Murphy in the NY State 20th
Congressional District if Pat decides to enter the race.

Well, it should be clean now.  Wasn't that one of the promises of the current administration?  And politicians never lie, so it must be true! LOL
