Regarding the Jan. 1 lead story “Organization finds its angels to provide ‘wishes’ for kids,” I am pleased to learn that Make-A-Wish met its $200,000 goal for the Capital Region. However, I believe this is the same agency that some weeks ago was too prissy to accept the benefits of a Skidmore College student calendar [featuring nearly nude models] created with them in mind, fearing it might be risque. I understand the calendars sold well and another charity was the grateful recipient of the proceeds [Dec. 12 Gazette]. Seems sad that Make-A-Wish turned down the opportunity to do so much more for the kids in the Capital Region.
