Happy New Year to All. May you and yours be blessed with good health, happiness, and prosperity in 2010.
With the approach of the new year, I thought that it might be interesting to solicit prections for 2010. Pray let this forum thread not be one of confrontation. Let us each make our prediction on any issue of our choice. Then, with the Administrator's support, we can look back one year from now to see which predictions were accurate and which were not.

My apology for starting this out with a political prediction, but here is my first.
Congressman Scott Murphy, NYS 20th, will lose his reelection bid in November 2010.
I predict there will be another attempted (possibly successful) attack on our country.
When the INSANE are running the ASYLUM In individuals, insanity is rare; but in groups, parties, nations and epochs, it is the rule. -- Friedrich Nietzsche
“How fortunate for those in power that people never think.” Adolph Hitler
I predict that DSS will move into the Rotterdam Industrial Park, that Bethesda House will sell its structure to a major hotel chain and buy a resort in Princetown, that Brian Stratton will finally get his calling to DC and McCarthy will take over as mayor and the ANGELO SANTABARBARA will go straight to HELL for being the jerk that he is!
I predict that Susan Savage will announce her interest in challenging Jim Tedisco for his NYS Assembly seat. I also predict that Tedisco will face a primary challenge for the Republican party endorsement.
I predict that there will be a renewed push for consolidation of the police departments countywide. It will begin again with pressure from Schenectady City Mayor Stratton.
Now that local elections are concluded and Dagostino has landed in the Sheriff's Department, the past opponents of this plan (Savage and the County Legislature) will support the call with the Rotterdam force being the first to be merged, Glenville P.D. to be the last.
I predict that the Israeli military will make a strike with pinpoint accuracy against Iran's nuclear facility in 2010. Rather than galvanize the Iranian populace, the reformists will seize the opportunity presented by the ensuing panic and confusion to overthrow the fundamentalist and hardline Islamic regime.
