Constitution Party a viable alternative
The Constitution Party of New York (CPNY) is worth a look. A Rasmussen poll released Dec. 7, titled “Tea Party Tops GOP on Three-Way Generic Ballot,” has the CPNY (Tea Party) candidate with 23 percent of the vote, the GOP with 18 percent, the Democrat with only 36 percent, and 22 percent undecided. Voters unaffiliated with either major party put the CPNY candidate first with 33 percent, 25 percent for the Democrat, and only 12 percent for the Republican. Undecideds were at 30 percent. Rasmussen says that “Forty-one percent of all voters nationwide say Republicans and Democrats are so much alike that a new party is needed to represent the American people.” Sixty percent of unaffiliated voters agree that a new party is needed. Among political conservatives, the CPNY was the first choice. CPNY candidates are more popular than moderate Republicans, while nearly half of all moderate voters prefer the Democrats. Among mainstream voters, 31 percent prefer the CPNY, with 26 percent undecided, 23 percent for the Republicans and only 19 percent for the Democrats. The Constitution Party of New York is the right party with the right platform, with the right leadership and at the right time. I’m encouraging everyone to visit our Web site, http://www. constitutionpartyny.com. Read our platform, our preamble and our philosophy. If you agree, join our party.
