A very strong low pressure system over downeast Maine early this morning will move northeast through the Canadian Maritimes today. As it moves away from our region... the tight pressure gradient over US which has been responsible for the strong gusty winds will gradually start to weaken but not until later today. Northwest winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts as high as 50 mph will continue today. The strongest wind gusts are expected to occur this morning with the winds gradually diminishing later today.

County Waste was scheduled to pick up Thursday - apparently some people got postcards (but nobody around here that I've talked to) that it was delayed till Saturday? Some have had their trash out thinking Friday morning (as usual) would be the pickup.
I haven't heard of any power outages yet. I thought for sure that there would have been.
