Tedisco looks at term limits for legislators

Assemblyman James Tedisco, R-Glenville, who is in his 14th term as a state legislator, is testing the waters of term limits in his blog.
Some observers see irony in his proposal, while others suggest that Tedisco is just being Tedisco, the ever keen populist politician looking for a hotbutton issue to excite constituents.
Whether Tedisco is also trying to raise his profi le through his blog for another run in the 20th Congressional District or for state Senate is also part of speculation among political observers.
Tedisco said he will seek re-election but remained vague as to which office. “I haven’t decided that yet. I love representing the 110th Assembly District,” he said.
    Tedisco writes a blog on the Times Union’s Web site, and his latest entry is called “One good term.” In it, he asks readers whether the state Constitution should be amended to introduce term limits for the governor and for legislators. Assemblyman Tedisco was supporting legislation that would allow for voters to recall elected officials who are
not serving the public interests.  I thought that this was his preferred approach rather than enacting term limits.

Bumble--I recall Mr. Tedesco from younger days.  He was totally involved with politics and at that time was quite liberal.  He is pretty much through I believe.  Sheldon Silver so aptly described him on WAMC when he became the minority leader when he said "Nice guy but the Assembly is not a basketball court."  Tedesco always says one thing and does another.  He is a fraud and I believe the sheople saw that when they voted against him last election.  He walks around the Assembly now likea man without a country or a county!  Term limits--I think the Democrats went easy on him last time--you would all be surprised what is in his closet according to those in the Assembly...and he doesn't even have a relationship with Jerry Abruzzezzi. Mrs. Beasley says he is done.
