Christmas---is Christ-mass.....and should be kept that way.....

Peace on earth goodwill toward men.  Operative words would be "goodwill toward men" (and women I assume)  What's your plan--ignore all people who subscribe to other faiths?  Then will you have a Merry Christmas.

I appears that you are missing the point. Christmas is and always was a Christian remembrance. And although many have disputed the actual date.....it is still the day that christians celebrate the birth of Christ. Plain and simple. What others believe is up to them. If I am a christian based organization and I am giving out 'anything' free, and want to say a prayer or have a service of thankfulness, what is the big deal? If you don't want to par-take....go somewhere else.

Let the other faiths offer the same service.

I like to take the opportunity  to share that in ' X mas' noting  the X being " Χριστός  ", meaning  Chirist in the original Greek-

My point is who gives a crap.....dont ignore.....tolerate like the rest of the idiots....like a fly on your shoulder...you dont have to go, you
dont have to care, you dont even have to be Christian.....the government just wants you to freakin' shop.....AND.......
when it become the Allah parade(or whatever) you will still be 'required' to shop......

SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE.....

when the Christians are having a parade(of sorts) who cares.....
when the Muslims are having a parade (of sorts) who cares.....

bottom line NO ONES GOD needs defending(they ARE that big) if,,,,,,they exist....(I think SOMETHING exists).....

anyhow, it's just a freakin' parade...and if that is part of a religious reflection/tradition/right.....then it is up to the CHURCH to make it
as such.....

IMHO---it's very personal...very very very personal........and only relegated to what I do and everything I am responsible for....
no luck here.....just a bunch of nosey elected legislative officials/neighbors.......

Christmas is celebrating the birth of 'Christ'....not the birth of a 'holiday'.

So it is 'Merry Christmas'.....not 'Happy Holiday'!

IMHO
