GLENVILLE -- Two elderly women were scammed by a telephone caller posing as a grandson involved in an accident in Canada who needs money wired to him through Western Union, town police said.
The first victim wired $4,000; the other wired $2,500. In both cases, the money went to an address in New Brunswick, Canada. In one case, a second man got on the phone with the woman and said he was a police officer and would not let the "grandson" leave the country without the money.

Police said people should be wary of callers requesting money and to make sure those on the other line are who they say they are.

What dirt bags. I thought the Canadians were all pure and pacifistic and wonderful as opposed to us hateful, gun-toting, killing Americans...

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."
