Nancy Pelosi has a frozen expression on her face. Another Joan Rivers. There was one person that made sense last night was Joe Wilson {R-SC} the one that stood up to this barrage of lies. We may have found a real Presidential candidate. |

If Franny is running on Obama's coattails he will finish a distant third. Way back. The best thing Del Gallo can do is distance himself from this Obama free fall. He's a smart businessman and knows better than to listen to Sal's sage advice. |

American Health care is expensive! WHY? Beeeccccaaaussseeee we spend a lot of money for having and being known for having the best health care in the world. It's just the way it is! Does obama think he is going to keep it the same or make it better? NO!
Just open the state boarders and let the free capitalistic enterprise work. |

Obamacare? Just more of that empathy Saturday, September 12, 2009 By Carl Strock, Gazette columnist
As for President Obama’s speech on health care the other night, I thought it was a fine effort, possibly even great, making clear the need for reform and striking the right balance between determination and compromise, all of it clearly articulated, but I don’t believe it will make any difference at all. From what I can see, the people I call the Angry Ones or the Belligerent Ones are hell-bent on blocking any government effort whatsoever to clean up our health-care mess. Socialism! they holler. Or: Communism! They don’t care what Obama says. They don’t care what anyone says who isn’t wired to a microphone at Fox Propaganda. They go to Town Hall meetings not to listen and learn but to shout and name-call, or to ask such disarming questions as, “If the plan fails, will congressmen be willing to be executed?” which was actually the first question asked at the Town Hall meeting held by Rep. Paul Tonko in Bethlehem. Republican congressmen squirmed and sneered their way through Obama’s speech in the same contemptuous spirit, rudely waving papers of some sort and in one now-famous instance shouting, “You lie.” The shouter later apologized, but wait and see if he doesn’t become a folk hero. “One of the unique and wonderful things about America has always been our self-reliance, our rugged individualism, our fierce defense of freedom and our healthy skepticism of government,” Obama declared, in a conciliatory nod to this rancorous crowd. But then he continued, ever so hopefully: “large-heartedness … too, is part of the American character. Our ability to stand in other people’s shoes. A recognition that we are all in this together; that when fortune turns against one of us, others are there to lend a helping hand. A belief that in this country, hard work and responsibility should be rewarded by some measure of security and fair play; and an acknowledgement that sometimes government has to step in to help deliver on that promise.” And at that point he might as well have been whistling in the wind. They knew what he meant. He meant empathy..........................>>>>.................>>>>.................http://www.dailygazette.com/news/2009/sep/12/0913_strock913/

Keep drinking your kool-aid Carl. Everyone at the Tea Parties all say that we need health-care reform just not the type of government take over of the health-care system that the liberal progressives are trying to force down our throats. Strock fails to say that Obama doesn't even have a good plan yet to talk about and Obama and the Dems in Congress don't have a clue how to pay for their plan. What people are worried about is the loss of freedom, bankrupting the country, causing high inflation, and creating a plan that will cause us to lose quality health-care due to cut backs in service and the elimination of services due to age. President Obama said judge what I stand for by the people I surround myself with and when the people he chooses turn out to be far left radicals who favor socialism or communism then I think people have cause for concern. |

Our government took over the banking system. Our government took over the auto industry. Our government now wants to take over even MORE of our health care. Our government appoints self proclaimed socialist communists and calls them czars. Our government wire taps in the name of security. Our government created a stimulus package that isn't working. Our government created cash for clunkers so we taxpayers can provide cars for others. Our government (barney frank) is, in part responsible for our housing collapse. Our government will tax the wealthy. (redistribution of wealth aka socialism) Our government funds ACORN billions when there is proof of corruption in the organization And may I add how ridiculous strock sounds when he 'tries' to bash fox news. I'm sure he is aware that ALL THE REST OF THE MEDIA IS LIBERAL!!!! Ya know....the ones that 'selected' obama. So what strock is saying is that for those who choose to prefer and agree with the conservative media....are labled 'the angry ones'. Strock clearly has a liberal agenda just like the rest. Can everyone say 'pass the kool aid? IMHO |

I think Mr. Obama is poking 'the beehive' of health insurance......if he wants to take medicare and the government likes that already exist and squash them all together with a bunch of rules/diagnosis/treatments, hell, be my guest---that's what they do now.....BUT----dont force it down my throat as an only option if I change jobs/insurance.....
just because something isn't illegal doesn't make it right.....so,,,,having said that, make it illegal for the insurance companies to opt out of treating or dropping someone who pays premiums.....
and dont forget about tort reform....those legal beagals talk half truths hoping the whole picture doesn't materialize.....do we really think HIPPA is for our security.....nah,,,,it's so we dont have concrete info to put the puzzle of denied treatments/errors poor research etc, together.......
and the ONLY reason for compelling the 'invincibles' to get health insurance, isn't for care but for a trough of $$ for collection.....
does the system need reform---you betcha......but, dont force your medicine down my throat |
