Ok so here I sit watching obama's speech to congress on health care. It certainly appears that he is looking squarely at the reps. And pretty much left them (all of congress), NO choice but to do SOMETHING about health care.
He hasn't changed my mine not one single bit!
NO OBAMACARE! |

First he throws an olive branch to the reps regarding tort reform. Said he was in favor of it. That ain't gonna happen! Second, he says that he will not cut medicare benefits, but will cut in-efficiencies in medicare, waste and fraud that will save enough money to pay for obama care.Well, why the hell doesn't he cut the in-efficiencies, waste and fraud any way? DUH! And he looked in the direction of the reps with an almost stern angry look. IMHO |

I don't know who's outfit was brighter. Ms. Pelosi or Ms. Clinton. |

obama was clearly very intimidating to say the least. Almost like he was pissed at those who opposed his ideas! |

Even though I personally like more republicans then democrats (sorry rotterdam) that bob hope bit made me laugh... That was pretty funny. Then again , the democrats I like are for personal reasons and not political reasons (IE: Al Gore, cause he's completely out of his mind!) |
| I don't spell check! Sorry... If you include "No offense" in a statement, chances are, your statement is offensive. |

It's the first time in his life that he didn't get his way and he can't believe that there are people who are opposed to what he wants to do. He doesn't like democracy very much either where people are free to do and think as they wish, he never had that problem in Chicago IMHO. |

As I was flipping channels, I came across his speech. Saw Pelosi in the background. Continued to flip the channel to one that did not carry coverage of the event. I saw several video clips of the event on the local news this morning. I perceived Obama as angry. The statements that he made sounded threatening to all who get in the way of him instilling his will and Marxist agenda on American society. While he extended an olive branch to his opponents in offering compromise, he attacked them. The next few months will determine if our nation remains a democratic republic or if it becomes a totalitarian state. I pray that the conservative Republicans and Blue Dog Democrats don't cower to the likes of Obama, Pelosi, Schumer, Reid, Soros, and Michael Moore. The majority of Americans are against the currently proposed legislation to overhaul our existing healthcare system. 44% Favor President’s Health Care Plan, 53% Oppose Thursday, September 10, 2009 Views of the health care plan proposed by President Obama and congressional Democrats remain largely unchanged since late July. A Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey conducted Tuesday and Wednesday nights finds that 44% favor the plan while 53% are opposed. These numbers are little different than those in late August. http://www.rasmussenreports.co....._care_plan_53_oppose |

He took over the housing industry. He took over the banking industry. He regulates private CEO's pay. He took over the auto industry. And now he wants to take over our health care!!! All this in 8 months AND he blames it ALL on Bush. (not that the bush administration is blameless)
And who can forget in last night's speech where he actually said that this new health care proposal will NOT COST ONE DIME! I mean wtf? |

I believe that his statement was that his health care proposal would not increase the deficit. In my assessment, that translates to either he doesn't have any idea of the cost or that there will be massive tax increases, either on individuals or businesses, to pay for it. |

Further, he stated that the coverage would not extend to those who are in our country illegally. This suggests to me that there will be an amnesty act passed by the Congress and the President so that those who came here illegally will be made legal citizens.
Sometimes you must focus more on what is NOT said than that which is (i.e., read between the lines) |
