I imagine at least Holly does not but Judy is a state democratic committee person.
First...just give H.vell time. She'll fit in just like ang does. Why else would H.vell not only accept the endorsement from the dems, but have campaign literature with dago?

Second, the mailer that was posted DOES show that visus is against obama's health plan. I thought I'd die laughing over that political ploy. Ridiculous! I wonder what viscus would say if obama was in favor of tax relief for people with inlaw apts.
But tomasone's name was never mentioned.

Yes please do cause I asked everyone if they got any campaign fliers from tomasone or visus. Some did and said it never said any such thing!
So come on pg13....there's already enough rhetoric, pandering and misinformation coming off the press with these campaign mailers.........don't be makin' stuff up. k?

Hey Bumblebutt, so are you going to call those people back that told you it didn't say that (when it did)
and call them a liar? So after examining it, please tell me what I made up? Thanks for telling everyone that
it didn't say what it did, it just shows how much bs you like to spread. As for Tommosone, he sent the
same flyer out but with his name and picture on it instead of Viscusi's... So Bumble, stop makin' stuff up k?

I did call them back and they NEVER received one from tomasone OR Visus. Not the health care one any way. So I'm not makin' stuff up. Is it possible that the reps and cons and dems all received different campaign fliers? I really don't know....just a thought.

But I do share in your sentiment. When I saw visus's flier posted here, I almost choked! Obamacare is clearly irrelevant in this local election and poor campaigning at best. IMHO

Well are they now against Obama? Or do they back him? They can at least clarify whether they support him and his policies, right? I imagine at least Holly does not but Judy is a state democratic committee person.

Who cares if they're for or against Obama's healthcare plan?  They're County Legislators, not state of federal legislator.  I guess it would be nice to know just to get a picture of their ideology.  But a better question would be how do they feel about federal stimulus money being used to artificially lower county property taxes for one year's budget?  Is that the best way to spend federal dollars?  In fact, is that what the federal stimulus money was supposed to be spent on?  What would the County budget have been if the County hadn't received federal money?  Would it have led to a property tax increase?

Write REP. Paul Tonko, SEN. Chuck Shumer, and SEN. Kirsten Gillabrand if you oppose Obama's health care plan.  Here's a little secret - it doesn't matter what our county legislator's or town supervisor's position is on federal health care. They don't have a vote.

They just get to appoint the local Van Joneses of the world to policy making positions in our county. They fill the boards with radicals, they institute policy that backs and carries through the left wing federal and state policy. I am sure no one cared how liberal Tonko was when he was on the Montgomery County Board of Supervisors. You overlooked his far left views then, never realizing that he would fill Sam Stratton's shoes one day but with a far-left flavor, after he climbed.

Cicero, we understand you want to destroy the Republican party so that there will only be one party (the Democrats) to run everything, we see through your seminar blogging old boy. We know what you really represent and it is no longer a mystery to us...

I don't want destroy the Republican Party, nor do I think my contributions to a little forum in Rotterdam is the type of megaphone to do so.

Now my question to you GB, how are Tonko's leftward leaning views any different from Mary Barrie's life long state employee for the DEC, Al Gore praising, pro cap and trade, anti suburban sprawl, car emission regulations far left views?  Please, explain away.

You sound like Obama.  How dare I challenge Republican's and their points of view.  I must be a socialist of communist for even questioning Suhrada's 180 degree turn he took from when he was a county legislator and now running for town council.  Suhrada and County Republicans railed against Savage and the Glendale Nursing Home expansion.  Proposing that the County nursing home be privatized given a not for profit status, because the county government shouldn't be in the non mandated nursing home business.  Now a year and a half later, Mr. Suhrada wants to "save" Rotterdam's non-mandated, not for profit EMS service by creating a taxing district and expanding the number of unionized town employees by government take over.  A service that the for profit Mohawk Ambulance offered to do for the town at a reduced cost. Joe Suhrada, a private business owner, taking a stance for a government run emergency medical service over private business.  I agree GB, we need to know the type of people we elect.  Otherwise we'll end up with party bosses awarding themselves government contract like providing legal services to the town.  We need to know where they stand and the type of character and motivations for running for public office.  Some candidates and political bosses stand to personally profit from gaining access to government.  Wouldn't you say?

I am definitely not for one party rule.  It's quite naive of you to still believe that the charade going on in Schenectady County is something other than one party rule.  They may register Republican, Democrat, Conservative and so on, but it is nothing more than a political class that are all in it for their personal gains.  What's Holly Vellano ideology?  We have a Sheriff and a Legislator running endorsed by Democrats and Conservative, and Conservatives endorsing Republicans.  Please explain to me in the politics of left and right, how does Conservatives endorse the same candidate endorsed by Democrats, while also Conservatives endorsing Republican candidates?

The 4 candidates running on the NO NEW TAX PARTY line were denied endorsement by the 3 major parties in Schenectady County, because of their ideological convictions.  These are candidates you can vote for and know what you are getting.  Mertz, a sitting Councilman has been consistent with his conservative message, and he has a voting record to prove it.  Littlefield, O'Connor, and McGarry have also been consistent with their message of fiscal conservatism.  If you want true opposition to the one party rule in Schenectady County, vote the NO NEW TAX PARTY line, and show the people of Schenectady County that we don't need to depend on these party bosses to run these recycled politicians that are indebted to the party and the few special interest that fund them.

Tying DAG/Vellano to horrible Obama is a good move. Where do DAG/Vellano stand on Obamacare? Of course they are in full support-they will support anything Brian Quail tells them to. Of course it's not a local issue but it unmasks two liberal candidates masquerading as fiscal Conservatives.

Here's the only Conservative that we can trust-Brad Littlefield. He is against Obamacare, he against raising County taxes, he's against continuing Metrograft. We need one Conservative who is not in Brian Quail's pocket. And while you are voting for Brad-vote for Brian McGarry for Supervisor.

Tonko had a voting record a mile long.  His climb wasn't unnoticed.  Paul Tonko isn't some sort of stealth candidate that said one thing and did another.  He pretty much has a track record of left leaning politics.  That's what you Republicans don't get.  I know what I'm getting with Democrats.  It's the Republicans that claim conservatism and then go and expand government.  Whether your talking Metroplex, proposing regulatory legislation, or now creating a taxing district for the REMS.

The Founding Fathers disliked political parties, calling them "factions" motivated by self interest. Washington was so upset over the quarreling between Hamilton (Federalists) and Jefferson (anti-Federalists) that he devoted much of his Farewell Address to the evils of parties. The people who supported Hamilton and Adams were called Federalists (supporters of the Constitution) but they were not an organized political party. The first organized party in America was made up of the followers of Jefferson, who, starting in the 1790s, called themselves Republicans (or Jeffersonian Democratic-Republicans). Hamilton and those who opposed Jefferson, kept the name Federalist. Jefferson's Republican Party has no ties to the current Republican Party. In fact, the current Democratic Party considerers Jefferson and Andrew Jackson as the founders of their party

Please provide some proof of DAG/vellano full support of Obamacare. Something? Anything? or just your
usual bs. You're the type of individual that would write dribble like that. How about the truth for once?

Then Washington ended up joining the Federalists. And the current Democrats can "consider" the Jeffersonian Republicans the "founders" of their party all they want, they are diametrically opposed to Jeffersonian small government.

GB, I am curious on you answers to cicero's post. Basically, my question would be....why should I or you vote for an endorsed rep? And don't tell me 'because they aren't dems' or the crap about one party rule.  Give me a platform based on rep ideology. And the same question would be to the endorsed cons. CONVINCE ME!

Funny how people are pissed at their taxes due to the reval and everyone is blasting the present administration for it. When it was done on Paolino and vell's watch. And what makes it really funny is how vell is now politically associated with the same dems that are promising to fix the tax problem their own fellow con/dem helped create.

And ya wonder why more people are looking to the no new tax party candidates.
