Phoenix Police Identify Suspect in 'Christmas Miracle' Case
Saturday , December 26, 2009
Phoenix police have identified a suspect accused of kidnapping and molesting a 5-year-old girl before a patrol officer spotted his car and helped rescue the child. Forty-five-year-old Larry Jon Ladwig was booked into jail early Saturday on charges of kidnapping, sexual molestation of a child, aggravated assault of a police officer and felony flight. It's unclear whether Ladwig has a lawyer.
The girl was rescued at about 9:30 p.m. Friday, more than seven hours after police believe Ladwig kidnapped her while she was playing outside a Phoenix apartment building.
The Associated Press is not reporting the girl's name because she may be the victim of a sex crime. The AP had named the girl after her abduction Friday.
Police say the girl is doing well and called her rescue a "Christmas miracle."
When caught in the act like this guy was he should never even be allowed to make it to jail but instead should die of lead poisoning resisting arrest.

SCHENECTADY Man pleads guilty to rape of 2 children More charges could be filed based on letter sent to childrens’ mother BY STEVEN COOK Gazette Reporter Reach Gazette reporter Steven Cook at 395-3122 or scook@dailygazette.com.
The man accused of sexually abusing two children under the age of 11 pleaded guilty Thursday to rape charges, accepting a sentence of 15 years in state prison. Brett D. Wood, 43, of Consaul Road, pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree rape, one count for each child involved. Wood was emotional as he pleaded guilty to each count against him, wiping his face as he admitted to sex acts with the children in November 2001. Wood was indicted in July on five counts of first-degree rape, among other charges. The plea came after prosecutors suggested more charges could be filed based on an alleged letter Wood wrote to the mother of the children offering her items and other interests Wood valued at $40,000. In exchange, the woman was to prevent the children from testifying. The woman took the letter directly to prosecutors. Wood, whose last name has also been spelled Woods, was initially arrested in June after police said a child disclosed abuse to an online friend. ................>>>>..............>>>>...................http://www.dailygazette.net/De.....r01801&AppName=1

Soldier Charged With Assaulting Daughter, 4, Over ABCs
Monday , February 08, 2010
A U.S. soldier has been accused of holding his 4-year-old daughter's head underwater because she would not recite her ABCs.
Joshua Tabor, 27, of Yelm, Wash., allegedly beat the child before holding her head under water Sunday night in the family's kitchen sink, The News Tribune reported.
Tabor reportedly told a police officer that he and his girlfriend "held her down on the counter and submerged her head into the water three or four times until the water came around her forehead and jawline," according to the newspaper.
The suspect said he punished the girl for "refusing to say her letters."
Tabor, a soldier at the Lewis-McChord base in Tacoma, Wash., has been charged with second-degree assault of a child and is set to appear in court Feb. 16.
The suspect reportedly told police that his daughter was afraid of water "and was squirming around trying to get away from the water."
"Joshua did not act as though he felt there was anything wrong with this form of punishment," the police report said.
PHOENIX — The parents of a 14-year-old Arizona girl who was victim to shocking abuse have been arrested, KSAZ-TV reported late Tuesday.
A young girl who escaped from her appalling living conditions says her father and stepmother kept her locked in a room with no running water for about two months.
It was apparently part of a punishment for stealing food.
While she was in "lock-up," the girl says her father gave her a few cans of food, crackers and bread every one or two days -- but it wasn't ever enough to satisfy her hunger.
The girl told police that while she was in lock up, she was forced to exercise until exhaustion, beaten with belts and metal rods, and pulled up by her hair if she stopped exercising.
The horror came to an end on January 24, when she escaped by crawling up a linen closet, climbing into an attic crawl space, kicking out a loose board and fleeing out the back door.
Someone called police for her and police were dispatched to the victim's residence to speak with her father, Scott Bass, and stepmother Andrea Bass.
The father, unaware that she was gone, allowed officers and Child Protective Services into the home. There, officers found a bathroom locked from the outside.
When officers opened the door, police say Bass was visibly surprised to see it empty. Inside the room was a 5-gallon bucket with about 4 inches of urine, a blanket on the tile floor, and empty cans of food, documents allege.................>>>>....................>>>>............................http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,585328,00.html?test=latestnews
These stories just brightened up my day.....AHHHHHHHH! I would deffinently be going to jail in most of these cases. Or atleast going to the looney bin on temp insanity.
The only comforting thing(if there is any at all) is that even most prison inmates hate child molesters or those that abuse children. They have families too. And with all the time to stew over what if it was their child...............Have fun you pathetic mother....ers

The problem with that, most of the time, is they're "protected" by the "system" - and put away from the hardened criminals. When was the last time you heard of a good ole' jailhouse beatdown by other inmates?
These fine, distinguished citizens should be in gen-pop and let the chips fall (and the heads turn away) as they may. farkin bastards.
That is just it. You don't hear about it. Why? Because it is prison buisness Even at the albany county jail such unhappy events go on unreported. This is were ethical delemas come in. As a gaurd do you look the other way even though it is your job to keep them all safe?
