Tedisco exploring another try for Congress Friday, August 28, 2009 By Tatiana Zarnowski (Contact) Gazette Reporter
20TH CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT — Assemblyman James Tedisco is considering whether to run for Congress again next year and has spoken to the 10 county Republican chairmen. “He’s engaging the chairs that are part of the district in getting [to know] what the climate is at this point in time,” said Jasper Nolan, Saratoga County Republican chairman. Nolan said Tedisco did more listening than talking when the two men spoke. Tedisco said he has been meeting with GOP leaders separately over the past month and a half about what went wrong in this year’s special Congressional election, which he lost to Democrat Scott Murphy by 399 votes out of 160,000 cast. “I don’t blame anybody but myself,” Tedisco said of that election. “I’ve had 14 elections. I think I learned the most from the 15th, that I lost.” The national climate has changed since Murphy, of Glens Falls, was elected in March, Tedisco said. A Republican might be more likely to get elected now. “I’m intrigued that there’s a whole different atmosphere,” Tedisco said. “I’m working at my job and weighing all my options.”....................>>>>.................>>>>................http://www.dailygazette.com/news/2009/aug/28/0828_tedisco/

Will he use the same campaign manager? LOL! Jimmy should concentrate on State issues. He should run for State Senator not Congress. Then he could get something passed. |

Do you think that Tedisco hurt the GOP all on his own? Hardly! In an open political society, I personally, welcome ALL candidates. It is great for competition and fair representation of and for the people. And who I vote for will be those who carry the same ideology as myself. As I would guess everyone else does. If Tedisco seeks to run....have at it! I think it is fair to say that no one runs for a political position in a vacuum. They are obviously supported by some constituents. Otherwise it would be senseless for anyone to throw their hat in this swamp of a political arena. This isn't a horse race like some seem to think, nor should it be looked upon that way. |

We need a new Republican candidate to run for Congress in the 20st district. Though I like Jim, the mood in the nation is anti-incumbancy. He gave it a shot and came up short. Time for him to move on and make way for a fresh candidate, who can win, to arrive on scene. |

Both Scott Murphy and Paul Polenta Tonko should be thrown out of office. They BOTH voted for Cap and Tax that if passed by the Senate will cause huge increases in our heating bills. They BOTH support Obamacare. Murphy is a carpetbagger who should go home to Missouri. Now that the sheeple have woken up on Obama-things done changed. Let John Faso run he will win in a landslide. |
