I have been a nurse in nusinghomes for 20years....when hospice became recognized by the feds about 10years ago,,,we all knew this would lead to 'bad' things.....it used to be the nurse that had taken care of the resident for months if not years that sat at the bedside with the resident and family...decisions being made slowly and quietly and calmly..... once hospice is invited in(they get $$$ now),,they have to prove themselves and hit the ground running---right to the grave
dont get me wrong this is not personal toward the nurses that I have worked with.....but the insidious death system so well accepted is A DAMN SHAME.........
the government makes folks make the decision by pressuring facilities to prove that the person doesn't want to live anymore well, WHAT A DUMBASS SYSTEM THAT IS.....I dont know what is in your head and you dont know what is in my head.....
