According to sources, this will probably be the last NY Giants training camp at Albany State. The Giants have just completed a $90 million training facility in NJ which has an indoor facility lacking in Albany. The players are less than thrilled about cramped dormitory living. Look for an announcement after the DEM primaries in September. When the Giants announced they would train in Albany the regional planning "experts" predicted a $17 million boost to the local economy. It never materialized. They said the same thing about Super Steel, which has abandoned Schenectady County. Add those to the Metrograft lost jobs column. |
