Man admits
illegal U.S. entry

    QUEENSBURY — A 36-year-old Mexican has pleaded guilty to illegally re-entering the United States after being removed from the country at least four times.
    Precidiano Martinez Rojas was removed from the United States to Mexico four times, the most recent removal being July 14, 2008, according to Assistant U.S. Attorney Edward P. Grogan.
    Grogan said the other dates of Rojas’ deportation were May 7, 2002, June 4, 2008, and July 8, 2008, all from a region near the United States-Mexico border in Texas and Arizona. Rojas was arrested by state police at the Wal-Mart store in Queensbury on June 9.
    Sentencing will be in U.S. District Court in Albany before Judge Gary L. Sharpe on Nov. 3. Rojas could be facing a maximum sentence of up to 10 years in prison, supervised release of three years and up to a $250,000 fine.
