TV pitchman Billy Mays dead at 50 Posted: June 28, 2009, 2:28 PM by Mark Medley news, Billy Mays
There's an old saying that all celebrity deaths come in three. This week saw the passing of Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett, and Michael Jackson.
Make it four.
The Associated Press reports that TV pitchman Billy Mays, known for his carnival barker-like pitches of products like OxiClean and Orange Glo, is dead at the age of 50. He was found by his wife Sunday morning, and emergency workers pronounced him dead at 7:45 a.m.
Mays apparently was aboard a U.S. Airways flight that made a rough landing on Saturday afternoon when it blew out its front tires.
"All of a sudden as we hit you know it was just the hardest hit, all the things from the ceiling started dropping," Mays reportedly told Tampa Bay's Fox affiliate. "It hit me on the head, but I got a hard head."

Like most things relating to Billy Mays, I ain't buying it!
I think that everything he 'pitched' was always $19.95!
With that aside, it was a tragic death! I smell a lawsuit in his family's future...yes?
