[Watching] the news on TV while eating lunch, I wonder, for example, what’s happening in the war. Any war; we’ve got two at last count. “Breaking news! Deborah Rowe, Michael Jackson’s ex-wife and mother of two of his children, may seek custody.” I don’t care. How about Obama’s energy plan? “This just in! Reliable sources report that Michael and his ex-wife never shared a bed, never had sex.” I still don’t care. I wonder if stimulus money is all accounted for. “Bulletin! Michael Jackson’s children were conceived using donated sperm.” Yeah, that figures. Anyway, what’s going on with “don’t ask, don’t tell?” “Latest news! Sperm donor was Deborah Rowe’s doctor.” Same guy twice? Where are we on taxes? “Latest report! Michael’s ex-wife did not use her own eggs!” Same donor both times? I still don’t care, but you gotta wonder: Whose kids are these? Deborah did the gestating, Michael paid the bills, but who is/are the bio-moms(s) and bio-dad(s)? Are these kids sibs? Half-sibs? Are they even related? Anyway, what’s happening in the war — any war? Maybe I’d better read the paper.
