Letterman has been under fire since he made several jokes about the Alaska governor and her daughter on his show Tuesday night, following a visit they made to New York City. In one joke, he characterized the former vice presidential candidate's style as that of a "slutty flight attendant." And in another, he joked that Palin's daughter had been "knocked up" by Yankees star Alex Rodriguez during the seventh-inning stretch of a Yankees game.
Critics jumped on Letterman soon after the show aired, accusing the comedian of making crass jokes about child rape because the girl who accompanied Palin to New York was her 14-year-old daughter, Willow, and not 18-year-old Bristol, who is the unmarried mother of Palin's first grandchild.

He's a comedian. Comedian's make jokes on public figures. The daughter he was referring to is an adult & has been all over TV talking about having sex. comedy fodder should not include, on public TV(not showtime etc, which is still questionable) the 'dress-down' of young girls....it is no different than the 'girls gone wild' pr**k heads......I'm sorry, but I fail to see the humor of the "it's okay, boys will be boys" GOLF club, levitra club or whatever club of testosterone......

NEW YORK STATE -- A local assemblyman is calling for the firing of David Letterman following a joke directed at former Vice Presidential candidate, Sarah Palin and her daughter.
Republican Gary Finch is asking CBS to terminate Letterman's contract. In his nightly top ten segment, Letterman joked that Alex Rodriguez from the New York Yankees may have gotten her daughter pregnant. Palin and her daughter were attending a Yankees game over the weekend, following a trip to Auburn to celebrate Founder's Day.
Assemblyman Finch covers the Auburn area and in a statement, he said, “Governor Palin was a guest of the City of Auburn. She was subjected to degrading comments about herself, her 14-year-old daughter and all women on primetime television by ‘Late Show’ host David Letterman. I find these comments to be completely unacceptable and outrageous."
Assembly Minority Leader Brian Kolb is also asking that Letterman be fired.
And to think Don Imus got fired over 'nappy headed hos'!
