No I don't think seniors are eating cat food--and you're lucky since your in-laws will do anything to take care of their family and themselves.  We Italians are like that.  However there are plenty of seniors yes Mr. Councilman  in Rotterdam who would have to make a choice between food and heat or food and medicine.  If you can deny that, you are a horses a--! And you to what you deserved  thrown out by the Reps and the NNTP.  And btw--Delgallo in a landslide and watch the Dems sweep all the races as well.  For lawyer, you sure don't get human nature.

Puddy....that was a quick change of clothes (jigs)

As far as you cal....it is all wishful thinking on your part. fdg has his work cut out for him. (in more ways than one)
McGarry is picking up momentum and s.t. isn't dead yet. I will vote for mcgarry, but a dem sweep.....think again. People are very very concerned about going back to the 'touch feely' days when the select few got their pockets lined. fdg has a long road ahead of him.IMHO

Come on...Really?  Seniors are having to choose between food, heat, or medicine?  Where?

Half of the town budget is tied up in the Rotterdam Police Department.  Take a stroll down Shardon Ct., our police officers aren't making those tough choices.  Maybe Mertz was on to something when he shinned light to the fact our Town Police Department is responsible for a huge portion of our budget.  The money we could have saved getting the RPD budget in check, we could have built you a nice new senior center. As well as feeding the seniors.

Good point cicero.....and as of yet....not one person has come out with anything concrete on WHAT exactly he did wrong. Come on folks.....tell us. I'm not mertzie, but I am clearly a supporter. No big surprise here! Does he support a taxing district for rems? Did he want a walmart super center here? Oh that's right....he went against the rotterdam 'as usual' mentality. That's it!!!

Yup....a prominent  police officer flipping the bird to the town board! Now running for an elected position. Ya.....that's what we want.

If you don't think seniors are making those choices in Rotterdam and the City you are nuts.  Check the stats--Not all the seniors are hanging out at the Elks drinking.  Not everyone worked at GE with those benefits.  Check with NYSOFA--you would be surprised just WHO has to make those choices.  Mertz couldn't find his way out of a paper bag.

Being a caring Italian, I would assume you volunteer to help Rotterdams seniors in need of food and other living necessities.  I thought you would have more specific, and personal experiences with starving seniors.

I am not the director here.  You have one.  He should be making house calls to seniors who were shut in the way I did so that the proper services can be arranged for those seniors.  Don't question my integrity Cicero.  I sit on the board of the Food Pantries of the Capital District as well as an oversight committee for the homeless.  I also am involved in a food pantry that is just for senior citizens.  Your cavalier attitude is what is getting the Reps thrown out on their a--es.  Personal experience and more specific details I certainly could give you but that would be a violation of confidentiality. Suffice as to say--there are plenty seniors making tough choices right here in Rotterdam.  Your callous nature is offensive to all decent caring people n this town.

Ohhhhh please... My callous nature.  Your making broad brush statements about seniors starving in Rotterdam and politicizing it by claiming Amedore votes on legislation that hurts seniors.  You should be ashamed, not me.  I'm just asking for specific examples, and you are using a confidentiality defense.  I'm not asking for names and addresses.  Just percentages.  Would you say like 25% of seniors in Rotterdam are starving or living without heat?  Fact is Cal, you are the one who politicizes seniors.

I'm glad my callous nature didn't offend you, since you do not fall into the category of "decent people"

I don't think bumble means figuratively.  I think bumble meant literally.  Like when Detective Dag stood in the back of a Town Hall meeting and flipped off the Town Board.
