{TU}--Senate REPS have seized control of the State Senate after 2 DEMS voted with the REPS for Dean Skelos for Majority Leader! Senator Monserrate and Senator Espada voted with the REPS for change. Giving the REPS 32 votes they needed to switch leadership.

This ended 6 months of DEM control of the State Senate. Another blow to Gov Paterson and former "leader" Malcolm Smith.

While I would have liked to see the Repubs remain in control this past November...not sure how I feel about it being done like this.  Did the two Dems really switch out of "anger" towards the Dems philosophy, or did they just get pocketfuls of Golisano's money?

Who cares the reason-the result is excellent! Working together to screw us is OVER. This is a combination REFORM group who shut out the lights on the horrible KRAT spending bill.

The best part is Neil Breslin {D-Albany} who was thrown off the dais and so shaken he couldn't count the hands. Should have run for Congress. BYE-BYE Malcolm Smith the worst of many pathetic State "leaders".

The same thing should only happen in this County. Throw out SS Savage and all her running dogs. Yes-we can!!

Now all the reps have to do is get their act together!  It's a start, but they (the reps) have a long way to go! Have they learned their lesson yet? It is difficult to tell one party from another these days.

Locally Ang votes for the unenforceable DWT law. Ang proposes another unenforceable law on a ban against plastic. Viscusi proposes a tax break for people with in-law apts. Suhrada backs a huge tax paid ambulance service over private enterprise. The cons are endorsing dems. Tedisco backs the metroplex tax sucking beast. And the dems are in bed with the cons.

.........and that's just local government!!!

Lets see what they actually get done......

The two sweetest words, "Republican coup". Viva la revolution!

Let's not mix apples and oranges. ANG may be a bit unfocused but compared to Judy Dag? 100X better. Let's not blame the REPS for this spending and debt orgy led by Ms. Savage and her coven members. Next we need a REP coup to take back this County from the death drip of Death Ray, Lumpy Kosiur, Clerk Woodward and SS Savage.

What I find most upsetting is the illegal Gestapo tactics they employed like turning off the lights and shutting the internet down. Wow, the Sandinista murderers and Castro would be proud of how the Democrat leaders act when they don't get what they want or when things don't go their way! Amazing! However I heard that is how they actually do it at th county chambers here too, so I am not surprised. They learned it somewhere.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Wow....in less than a half hour they just about killed what was left of Paterson.

And they 'turned the lights off'? And to think these so called 'leaders' run our government! Childish at best!

Sorry Benny, but as much as you are correct about the tax and spending in the county leg.....the reps, who clearly do not have a handle on their party yet, would love to be in their positions of TOTAL CONTROL!! Don't kid yourself here...they are all about the power And screw us! Don't worry...Death Ray, Lumpy, SS and Woodclerk, would all be replaced by whatever party was in power. The plex would still exist except the leadership and recipients would change. And lumpy's job would still exist except it would carry another person's name!
