Roll all laws applying to stupidity into one
Are we just plain stupid, or just being made stupider by a government that truly “enables” the stupid? We are told that we shouldn’t speed, drink and drive, do drugs, text while driving, fail to use a seat belt, smoke, eat trans fats, have kids we can’t afford, buy gas “hog” cars, drink sugared drinks, drop out of school, fail to exercise, or spend money we can’t afford to pay back. While all of these are rules that any halfway-sensible person considers logical, the government, in all its stupid wisdom, has decided that it must make sure we all follow its choices by taxing every stupid thing people do. These laws are geared toward stupid people who might not be following the stupid laws, but all of us who live and work for a living and pay outrageous taxes are paying for these laws to be followed. Every time a stupid law is broken, our tax dollars are spent on judges, courts and government officials put in office to enforce them, and we even have to pay for lawyers for stupid people who can’t afford them. Why not just lump all of the stupid laws into one “stupid bill,” to be voted on by all of us — not just some stupid elected official. We should make the people who break the “stupid law” do volunteer work in facilities that are filled with their own stupid kind — who are injured, dying or otherwise messed up because of their own stupidity. These jobs, created for and by those who were stupidest in the first pace, will allow these lawbreakers to be around those who are just as stupid as they are.
