There aren't too many rules to follow at our workshop other than to be respectful and civil. Being passionate is okay though. I've run plenty of resident meetings in that same room over the years. And I've dealt with every scenario, I think. I'm your host. Get out of line and be disruptive, and I won't have trouble showing you the door.
Think discussion group. Maybe even different groups in each corner dealing with specific topics. So questions? Yes, but not in the formal sense of a moderator putting it on the clock with everyone subjected to the answer. No show intended here - and if you want to take my picture talking to someone just make sure you get my good side (which is the back of my head - lol). When people who care get together to discuss possible solutions, instead of simply complaining about what they don't like, things get accomplished.
I am hopeful that among those who attend the forum will be employees of town and county government who best know where waste and inefficiencies exist and how processes can be re-engineered to save money, allow employees to work smarter and not harder, and to better serve the residents.
I look forward to hearing the views and ideas of ALL those who are concerned about their community and who are tired of the status quo in governance.

Why is Brian McGarry not concerned, if it is true, that Delgallo will need help in Town Hall, and how are they going to cut expenses? He will need a full time deputy and a full time attorney which will cost us more money.
Why are the candidates only holding a forum for an hour and not taking questions formally (like in a real forum), but instead will "mingle" with the crowd that shows up? If I show up and ask a question, is the answer going to be whispered in my ear, done with sign language or will it be answered with a series of hoots and clicks?

With smoke signals! The format is my call. That's my prerogative. I chose to do it that way because I think it will be more substantive. I'm sorry if you don't agree but come join us and criticize me afterwards if necessary if you leave unfulfilled. It's not the typical format because we're not typical candidates. It's an hour because I work full time and assume you do too. I also have to reserve the block of time at the library and was lucky to get what I did. After you're gone, I get to put all the chairs away so the library folks can go home on time.
Your first question I've answered about 10,000 times already, a few times on this forum. (Search my posts - I'm sure you'll find some detailed answers.) I'm also on record at various town meetings with what I'd cut...SPECIFICALLY! In a nutshell, let me say start with freezing the pay raises, and the creation of redundant positions. (I've identified both of those areas in some detail.) How about not trying to create new tax districts? I'm on a door knocking break so I'm purposely brief. Perhaps we can talk again soon. Maybe even Tuesday?

It's a great idea to hold a forum for an hour and then mingle with the folks so that they can get to know them more personally. I think Michael answered you already. Go Michael--good work.
Actually, I reviewed the numbers. Parisi is no more expensive than the lawyers of the past decade. No supervisor should be without legal representation that shares the same vision and supports the ideals as him or her, as long as the supervisor can get the support of the town board. A lot of the legal work is farmed out even with a so-called full time lawyer. That is because the town relies on lawyers in a highly litigious world, and lawyers, like doctors, have specialties.

GB ~ are you suggesting that we FOIL the legal fee records from the town? What specifically should we be looking for? Is there a hidden gem in all that paper work that we should be paying attention to? As far as a Supervisor having legal represenation ~ I believe the entire town should be represented by the firm ~ not just the Supervisor.
