The rising U.S. unemployment rate is well known — but what’s happening at the metro level shows just how much parts of the country are suffering. The Labor Department today released March unemployment rates for 310 metropolitan areas, and the picture isn’t pretty.

Albany-Schenectady-Troy       NY      7.3%      2.3% Rise From March 2008

Where are all of the 3,000 jobs created by Metroplex Chair Gillen?  I assume that they're at the DSS building because there's always a long line outside the building.  No doubt, county employees waiting to get to their desks.

The 3,000 Metrograft jobs is the big lie that the Krats keep parroting like Goebbels. Schenectady's unemployment rose more than any Capital District city. Metrograft has caused thousands of jobs to flee the County in the past decade. And they jump up and down like babboons about 2 employers moving from Rotterdam to the City.
Sal is typical -blame someone else for your failure to lead and failure to slash spending. Waiting for Evil Al to be blamed for current woes.
