Detours to train station during chase for Jolie film

RENSSELAER Motorists traveling to the Rensselaer Rail Station will be directed to alternate routes during filming of a movie car chase on Interstate 787 for an action-thriller starring Angelina Jolie, the Capital District Transportation Authority has announced.


CDTA is advising drivers planning to travel to the train station via I-787 and the Dunn Memorial Bridge to allow extra time from Thursday through Monday, May 4.

One of the detours will direct motorists to the Empire State Plaza and eastbound on the South Mall Expressway to the Dunn Memorial Bridge, according to CDTA.

Filming for the Columbia Pictures movie is expected to take place from April 23 to May 4, and detours will be in effect from approximately 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Alternate production schedule dates in case of rain or other complications are Thursday May 14 Monday, May 18.
