Many people on this forum know - or know of Dr. Carl Alesio, who passed away earlier this week.

Carl was a prominent area leader. He not only was founder of Alesio Chiropractic, with his wife Karen, he was also past president of the Rotterdam Sunrise Rotary, District Executive for the Boy Scouts of America (Schenectady), and Carman Little League Coach for his son and daughters teams.

I went to school with Carl (Mohonasen), as did a couple of other people on this forum. Regretfully, I've lost touch with him over the years, but remember him as a "good guy" who had successfully ran a local business, started a family and was an active leader in our community.  Others here knew him much more than I did, but I'm still sad to think of his passing. It was way too early in his successful life. I've "run into him" several times over the years, it should have been more often.

Carl leaves behind two children, Alexander and Catherine, a loving wife Karen, and 2 brothers, Christopher and Craig along with a large extended family.

Services are tonight at DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home on Helderberg Ave from 4-8pm, with a Mass of Christian burial tomorrow at St. Anthony's (9:30am).

A fund has been setup for the childrens care and education (Make checks payable to the "Alesio Children Fund"):

Please remember Carl and his family in your thoughts and your prayers.
